IIT Jammu BTech cutoff 2024 ranged between 6310 and 16439 for the General AI category students. The most competitive cutoff rank was for CSE, and the lenient cutoff rank was for Materials Engineering. JoSAA conducted the counselling process for admission to BE/ BTech and other courses in multiple specialisations. IIT Jammu Cutoff 2024 For General All India Category 

For the General AI category students, the most crucial BTech specialisation for admission was Computer Science and Engineering, with first and last-round closing ranks of 5555 and 6310, respectively. IIT Jammu JEE Advanced cutoff ranks for all the BTech courses are tabulated below along with their first and last rounds. Besides CSE, students targeting to secure a seat at IIT Jammu irrespective of any course choice can also consider easy-to-grab options such as Mathematics and Computing and Electrical Engineering with lenient last-round cutoff ranks of 7956 and 10005, respectively.

IIT Jammu Cutoff 2024 For OBC All India Category 

Candidates in the OBC category can refer to the table below to view the JEE Advanced first and last-round closing ranks for all the BTech courses. Considering IIT Jammu CSE cutoff 2024, the first-round closing rank was 2337. The concluding round cutoff for the same stood at 2341. For admission to other BTech specialisations, including Mathematics & Computing and Civil Engineering, the JEE Advanced closing cutoffs stood at 3141 and 5807, respectively. The easiest course to get admission to IIT Jammu was Materials Engineering, with lenient first and last-round closing ranks of 5580 and 6032, respectively. IIT Jammu 2024 cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering other than General category are mentioned below

  • 2341 for OBC
  • 1093 for SC
  • 635 for ST

While the admissions are based on the scores/ rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

A:

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, closing rank was 10,005 in 2024. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, closing rank for female candidates was 18,177. Admission to B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering in IIT Kanpur is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

A:

The IIT Jammu JAM cutoff 2024 was concluded after the release of it's last round. The cutoff ranks closed at the range of 734-879, among the General AI category candidates. IIT Jammu Cutoff 2024 For SC All India Category

Compared to the above categories, the competition was tough for the students belonging to the SC category in the AI quota for admission to the BTech courses based on the JEE Advanced ranks. As per the last-round closing ranks, BTech in CSE was the most in-demand specialisation, followed by Mathematics & Computing and Electrical Engineering. The first round cutoff for CSE, Mathematics & Computing, and Electrical Engineering stood at 1093, 1566, and 1912, respectively. The concluding round cutoff ranks for CSE and Mathematics & Computing courses remain the same, while for admission to the Electrical Engineering course, the cutoff closed at 2208. Candidates can refer to the table below to view IIT Jammu ST category cutoff 2024 for both the first and last rounds. As per the concluding round, the closing ranks varied between 635 and 1512, wherein the most desirable BTech specialisation was Computer Science and Engineering. For admission to the CSE course, the first and last-round closing ranks stood at 598 and 635, respectively.

IIT Jammu Cutoff 2024 For EWS All India Category

The BTech cutoff 2024 was released across multiple specialisations, wherein the last round closing ranks fell between 945 and 2472 for the students belonging to the EWS category in the AI quota. For admission to the BTech in CSE course, the first round cutoff was 862, while in the last round, the closing cutoff stood at 945. Similarly, the closing ranks for Civil and Electrical Engineering were 2428 and 1745, respectively. For other BTech specialisations, candidates can check out the table provided below: 

Q:   What if my rank isn't good enough for IIT Jammu? Are there any other options?
A:

IIT Jammu JAM Cutoff 2024 is out for Round 2. The most competitive course as per the Cutoff was M.Sc in Chemistry, with a closing rank of 705. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff rank for M.Sc in Chemistry is 1032

If the Cutoff score is more than 705, there is no scope for admission to M.Sc in Chemistry in any other IIT. 

Q:   What rank is required in IIT JAM for IIT Jammu MSc admission?
A:

The IIT Jammu MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein the M.Sc. in Chemistry is the most competitive specialisation with a closing rank of 628 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.Sc.in Physics with a cutoff rank of 632. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the MSc courses must secure a rank up to 632 to be eligible for IIT Jammu. 

IIT Jammu admission to the MSc course is based on IIT JAM scores, followed by the IIT JAM counselling process. Only candidates on the JAM 2024 merit list based on JAM 2024 scorecard will be eligible to apply for admission. 

Q:   Can I get into IIT Jammu with 600 rank in IIT JAM?
A:

IIT Jammu JAM cutoff 2025 was released for round 1. The cutoff was released for M.Sc. in Chemistry and M.Sc.in Physics with the cutoff ranks of 645 and 641, among the General AI category candidates. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the closing ranks for MSc in Chemistry and MSc in Physics were 854 and 1041, respectively.

IIT Jammu total tuition fee for the BTech course is INR 8 lakh. The total tuition fee for the M.Tech course is INR 80,000. The fee for the MSc course is INR 26,000. Expensive or not, depends on person to person. Those students who find the fee expensive must apply for the scholarships.
