The difficulty level of the JEE Main Paper-2 session 1 2024 was easier than previous year exam. Overall, Paper-2 can be considered as the âModerateâ. Total marks of JEE Main Paper-2 were 400. All the other details related to paper-2 are given in the table below:

JEE Main Paper Analysis Previous Year
Most candidates have stated that the JEE Main 2024 Paper 2A was moderate in nature with the difficulty level of the questions falling in mid-range. While some students said that they found a few questions from the Mathematics section to be difficult, they would still solve them in a given time.Â
As per the coaching institutes, many questions in JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam were from 3D. Some students have said that the paper consisted of 4 to 5 questions related to 3D structures which were of moderate difficulty level. Another set of questions asked in the exam was related to IDFC Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC).

Immediate Reactions from Students about Paper 2 (Forenoon Session) of JEE Main
(1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Paper -2 (B.Arch. Paper) of JEE (Main) was different from Paper-2 of B. Planning.
(2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The full marks of the JEE Main Paper-2 for both (B. Arch & B. Planning) were 400 respectively.
(3) Overall, the Papers were of Moderate Level as per students.
Analysis of B. Arch Paper(2A):

Part-I- Mathematics had total 30*questions â Sec-I had 20 Multiple choice questions with Single correct answers & Sec-II had 10 Numerical based questions out which only 5 had to be attempted. Marking scheme for both multiple choice questions and numerical based questions was +4 for correct response, -1 for incorrect response, 0 if not attempted.

Drawingâ Easy level. One question involved drawing and coloring the scene of a Holi Festival, question on Color scheme of logo of Burger King and another question was to redraw a given figure with correct proportions (1:500).

The cutoff for Chemical Engineering at Nirma Institute is generally between 2000-2500. The competition has been increased over past three years. Earlier, students could take admissions at a rank of around 7244. Competition in Chemical Engineering is neither very high nor very low.
