JAC Delhi is a counselling program for students who want to pursue BE/BTech and BArch degree programs in Delhi. It is conducted for admission to 5 technical universities/institutes that are part of the Government of NCT Delhi. These include:

Joint admission counseling (JAC) is conducted for admission to 5 institutes of the Delhi government, including DTU. You can get a seat in the B.E. , B.Tech. , and B.Arch. Courses offered by these institutions. The participating colleges in JAC include:

1. Delhi Technological University (DTU)
2. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW)
3. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D)
4. Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU)
5. Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT)

The whole process is done in five rounds, including spot round admission. There are 85% of seats reserved for candidates from the Delhi region in the JAC.

To register for JAC Delhi, candidates need the below given JEE Main details:

BE/B.Tech Course at DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT, DSEU and Dual Degree (B.Tech+MBA) at IGDTUW: A candidate securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, and having passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) will be considered eligible for admission to the first semester of B.Tech/BE course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately. B.Tech Course at IIIT D: A candidate who has secured 80% or more marks in the aggregate of the best of five subjects including Physics Chemistry & Mathematics and 80% or more in Mathematics in the qualifying examination will be considered eligible.

The number of seats offered via the JAC Delhi counselling in 2025 was 7,333 B.Tech seats and 90 B.Arch seats.

Marksheets of the qualifying exam that is class 12 or equivalent exam mark sheet, Certificate of high school or equivalent exam (class 10) as proof of date of birth, Bonus point document, if eligible for IIIT D bonus point, Reserved category/sub-category documents. It may not be possible for you to change your details in your JEE Main application form once the admission process has begun. According to the directions given by JAC for choice filling, you can edit your choices within the given time limit. The JAC announce the schedule for the counseling process, which included dates for choice filling and editing preferences. You can edit your choices only within this allotted time limit. Furthermore, you can only edit your selection if it has not been locked. Once you select the "locked choice" option, you cannot make any changes later on in any round. Therefore, if you are not sure about a choice, you can "save" it instead of locking it. Once you are sure about your choice, you can "lock" within the given time limit.

Internel sliding in JAC Delhi counselling means, upgradation of course after seat allotment within the same college. There is internal sliding in JAC Delhi and it is available only to those candidates who have been allotted a seat andhave taken admission in the Institute.

No. Candidates are not allowed to change the choices filled by them in JAC Delhi counselling once theu have submitted them. Before submitting the choices, candidates can fill and modify the choices as many times they want. AFter final submisison, no changes in the choices will be allowed.

JAC Delhi counselling seat allotment status will be made available on candidate’s login after declaration of seat allotment result in each round as specified in the counselling schedule.

IGDTUW cutoff 2024 is out for JAC Delhi for admission to the BTech and BArch courses. As per the Round 1 of IGDTUW JAC Delhi cutoff 2024, the closing ranks ranged between 3277 and 82511 wherein Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) was the most competitive course to get into for the students belonging to the General Home State category.  IGDTUW JAC Delhi cutoff 2024 for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering stood at, 43914 in Round 1. JAC Delhi 2026 counselling will start in May. The entire counselling schedule is hosted on the official website of JAC Delhi 2026. Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) process for undergraduate admissions in engineering programs in Delhi, is conducted by the participating institutes themselves. No. A student is eligible only if he/she has (i) secured 60 % or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and (ii) passed English as a subject of study of the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective). Some relaxation is given to reserved category students only.

Yes, candidates can directly register for the JAC Delhi and JAC Chandigarh spot rounds. However, note that the spot rounds are held as per the availability of vacant seats. JAC spot rounds are held physically. Candidates have to report physically along with payment of the balance fee at the respective University/Institute. A special Spot Round may be conducted by the respective University/Institute, if seats remain vacant after the spot round. JAC Delhi Counselling 2025 is conducted in 4 rounds and one spot round. The counselling process in each round includes registrations, choice filling, seat allotment, payment of the seat acceptance fee and physical reporting at the respective institute.

For a candidate, who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya, Delhi / National Institute of Open School, Delhi (NIOS), the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location of his/her centre of examination. In other words, if the centre of examination is located in the NCT of Delhi, the candidate shall be considered under the Delhi Region and if the centre of examination is located outside NCT of Delhi, he/she shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region in JAC Delhi counselling.

Yes. Seats are reserved for Single Girl Child candidate (Girl having no brother and sister (except twin sister)), who have passed 10+2 from schools located in NCT of Delhi for admission to B. Tech. courses in DTU and IGDTUW.

If you are from OBC/SC/ST category, then you will definitely get an admission. But with general category, it will be tough as the last cut -off is always around 90k. Even in spot round there will be barely any chance of general category to get an admission with rank above 90k. But with any category certificate you will easily get an admission within first 2-3 rounds.

No. There is NO MANAGEMENT QUOTA seat in any of the participating university/institute of JAC Delhi counselling. Candidates are advised that they should not believe in unscrupulous elements claiming that they can arrange Management Quota seats. 

Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors: Number of aspirants registered, The difficulty level of the exam, Total number of seats available, total number of applications received for a particular program, and the category under which admission is sought. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question.

Admission through JAC counselling will be based on Common Rank List (CRL) secured in JEE Main. If you are applying for admission through JAC counselling then your CRL rank will be considered but your seat allotment will be make under the category you belong to if you belong to reserved category.

Yes. JAC Delhi registration portal will ask you to specify your category/sub-category/region (Whether Delhi or Outside Delhi) independent of what was mentioned by you in JEE Main application form.
