Registration - JAC Delhi admission application forms are made available online. Candidates have to register online on the official website. To register, candidates have to login to the counselling portal with their JEE Main application number and password. Under the login, candidates have to fill in some additional details and complete the application process.

Choice filling -  Candidates select their preferred colleges and courses from a list of available options based on their eligibility after registration. These choices should be ranked in order of priority, as seat allotment depends on these preferences and the candidate's JEE Main 2026 rank. While candidates can add as many options as they like, any changes to the list must be made within the official counselling schedule. Once the choices are locked, a printout of the final selection should be taken for future reference. The choice filling dates are the same as the JAC Delhi 2026 registration dates.

Seat allotment results- Candidates are then allotted courses and institutes as per their JEE Main 2026 ranks and eligibility criteria. The JAC Delhi seat allotment result is published on the official website under the respective logins of the candidates. Only the candidates who will have completed the registration and choice filling process by the deadline are allotted seat in JAC Delhi counselling 2026. Once the seat is allotted, candidates are issued a provisional JAC Delhi seat allotment letter. This letter will have the institute and category/subcategory allotted to the candidate. Candidates must download the provisional seat allotment letter. 

Seat confirmation and fee payment - Once a seat allotment letter is issued, candidates must pay the required fee and confirm their seat. Those satisfied with their current assignment and who do not wish to seek an upgrade must "freeze" their choice. During this process, candidates are required to formally submit their "willingness" by selecting one of two options:

• Float: The candidate accepts the current seat but wishes to be considered for a better-preferred course or institute in subsequent rounds.
• Freeze: The candidate accepts the current seat and opts out of any further upgrades, effectively finalising their admission.

Following the payment of the seat acceptance fee, candidates are required to attend a reporting centre for document verification according to the official timeline. Once their documents are verified, they must report to their assigned institute to finalise their admission. It is critical to adhere to the provided schedule, as failure to visit the reporting centre on time may result in disqualification from the admission process.

After the completion of the main rounds in JAC Delhi, spot counselling rounds are held. Joint Admission Committee (JAC) releases the dates for the spot round and the venue for the same. The JAC Delhi spot round dates are released category wise and the candidates have to report for spot rounds as per the schedule. Only those candidates will be considered for seat allotment in the JAC Delhi counselling 2026 spot round who will mark their attendance physically in the given slot. The allotment of seats in the spot rounds will also be based on the JEE Main 2026 result.

The admission process for JAC Delhi 2026 spot counselling round is as follows:

1. No fresh registration will be permitted for the spot round of admissions.
2. The candidate or candidate’s authorized representative can participate in spot round.
3. All candidates who want to participate in Spot Round MUST bring the following documents and demand draft, otherwise admission will not be permitted.
