Q. What is CUET UG?
Ans. Common University Entrance Test or CUET UG is conducted for admission to central universities or other universities (State, Private, Deemed or autonomous institutions). CUET UG provides a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates all over India seeking admission to top CUET-accepting colleges. It is a single entrance test conducted for admission to UG courses.
Q. When will be CUET UG 2026 conducted?
Ans. CUET 2026 exam will be scheduled between May 08 and June 01, 2026 for admission to UG courses. The exam will be a computer based test (CBT). Last year, CUET exam was held in hybrid mode i.e., subjects with highest registrations were conducted in pen and paper mode while others were held in CBT mode.

However, with the implementation of CUET UG 2026, the burden on students to attain high marks in the singular Board Examination has diminished.
Marks awarded by various Boards exhibited significant discrepancies due to variations in question types and scoring methods. CUET 2026 aims to standardise these aspects through CUET normalisation process.
As per CUET exam pattern, the question paper will be objective, and include multiple-choice Choice Questions. CUET 2026 onwards exam will be conducted in a hybrid mode.
Aligned with the Class 12 syllabus, CUET 2026 eliminates the need for separate preparation for candidates currently studying in Class 12.
CUET 2026 offers students a broad spectrum of choices, including 23 domain subjects, 13 languages, and a General Aptitude Test. This flexibility enables students to select the Subject/Language/General Test that aligns with the admission requirements of their desired university.
