IIM Amritsar’s IPM programme is aimed at training young minds and preparing them for the world of management. The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the IPMAT exam is a score of at least 60% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent for the General and NC-OBC categories. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) categories.
Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026.
IPMAT score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the IPMAT exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded four marks. For an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for five correct answers, 20 marks will be added to the total score. The raw score of candidates is scaled to calculate the composite score. Given below are the steps on how the composite score for IPMAT 2023 exam will be calculated:

The IPMAT 2026 eligibility criteria for IIM Amritsar's i-MBA admissions state:
