Q: What is SET and its full form?

SET full form is Symbiosis Entrance Test. SET is a undergraduate entrance exam conducted for BBA admissions to Symbiosis International University and its institutes. Symbiosis SET is a gateway to BBA programme and BBA specializations such as Business Administration, Media Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Mass Communication, Economics, Applied Statistics and Data Science, Dual Degree, Sport and Exercise Science offered at SIU.

Q: What is age limit for SET 2026?

A: For Symbiosis SET 2026, there is no upper age limit. Candidates appearing for SET exam should have passed or be appearing for Class 12 exams or equivalent. A minimum of 17 years of age is expected.

Q: When will SET exam 2026 be conducted?

A: SET 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on two dates, i.e. May 2, 2026, and May 10, 2026. It will be conducted in the computer based test mode across 80 test cities.

Q: Is SET exam conducted twice a year?

A: SET exam is conducted in two sessions in same month. This year, SET will be conducted on May 2 and 10. If students appear for both sessions, best score will be considered for admissions.

A: Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 50 per cent aggregate are eligible to apply for SET exam. Candidates in Class 12 or are awaiting the Class 12 results can also apply provisionally and present marksheet at time of admission. Student who has completed class 12 or equivalent from a foreign board and have obtained an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities is eligible.

A: Yes, it is compulsory to take SET exam for BBA 2026 admissions at SIU. University does not offer direct admission to BBA programme.

Q:   How to apply for the SET exam?

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the SET exam:

Students have to go to SET exam website and click on Apply for SET button. They have to register by using their name, mobile number, date of birth, etc. After filling registration forms, students have to login again with application number and password. Upload documents and pay application fee. 
The part 2 of SET application process includes paying the institute fee, choosing the preferred city and institute.

A: 
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 50 per cent aggregate are eligible to apply for SET exam. Candidates can choose upto three SET test cities according to their preference. Candidates must very carefully select the cities as once the SET application form is submitted, they can't change city preference. They should choose the first city of preference as their hometome or where they are residing as the exam authorities will likely allot the test centres to candidates in their first city of preference. Candidates are allotted a test centre in second or third preference only if the seats have been filled or the exam centre has been cancelled at that location. Candidates should know that the SET test cities cannot be changed once the form is submitted even during the form correction window.

Yes, students should begin their SET exam preparation at least 6 months before exam date. SET exam is easy to moderate. Students should spend time on practice and mock test to score well.

IPMAT is usually considered a bit more difficult than SET, as IPMAT exam has advanced mathematics and is calculation intensive. The exam also have a sectional time limit. But, SET is easier in terms of difficulty, does not have negative marking or sectional timings.

Students must report to the SET exam centre at least an hour before the exam. SET exam will take place at 9 AM at many test centres. Students must reach the exam centre the latest by 7:30 AM.

Yes, one can fill the SET application form on one day and pay the fee on another day as it is not mandatory to register for SET exam and fill the application form or pay the fee in one go.
