The official SET answer key of every candidate released by the examination authority contains each question and its status which means, the answer marked by the candidate and right answer. The main benefit of the SET answer key is that through the answer key, the candidates can analyse their performance in the SET exam. The SET answer key contains, candidate's response as well as correct answer to every question. This can help them in calculating how much marks they will score out of the total marks. They can use that information to see how much percentile they may score, even before the SET result has been declared. SET score is valid for admission for the same academic year in which the candidate has taken the exam. For example, SET 2026 score will be valid for admission for 2026-2029 BBA batch only. If a candidate wishes to drop a year after taking the SET exam, then they will have to appear for the exam once again next year. They should however check the eligibility or selection criteria to have a clarity of SET score of which session/phase is valid for admission in which academic year. Candidates taking the SET exam, the test takers must not try to use their score for admission more than one year after appearing for it. They should appear for it again and use the latest score for admission.

SET has a total of 60 questions. The General English Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness sections carry 16 questions and the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section carries 12 questions. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded and one mark is deducted for an incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Therefore, the total marks of SET is 60. The SET examination body allows candidates to challenge the official answer key. In case a candidate feels any answer shared by the examination body is incorrect, they can challenge it by filling an objection form which is released on the same day as release of the SET answer key. The candidates can fill the objection form by writing an email to exam conducting body.

The students need to write and email on the official email ID of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). While at it, students need to check the question number from the PDF of the question paper. Write the relevant details and upload supporting document. Students also need to pay objection fee through credit/debit card or net banking. Candidates can raise any number of objections. The SET answer key objection fee will be refunded to only those candidates whose objections will be accepted. Objections that have been submitted once cannot be edited.

In 2026, SET will be conducted in two phase, i.e. Test 01 and Test 02. According to the previous year SET analysis and student's reactions, the difficult level of the exam is easy to moderate in both sessions.
