IIT BHU Cutoff 2025 For General All India Category

For the General AI category, the IIT BHU JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 in the first round ranged from 1350 to 19019. In the last round, the cutoff varied between 1489 and 20792. According to both these rounds, the most and least sought-after courses were BTech CSE and BArch courses for this category.

Q:   I have 3000 rank under OBC quota in JEE Advanced. Will I get selection at IIT Varanasi?
A:

IIT Varanasi has released the category-wise cutoffs for various BTech specialisations. For BTech admissions, JEE Advanced is conducted widely by IITs. A JEE Advanced rank of 3000 under OBC category can be considered as the decent rank, however, this rank is insufficient to secure BTech in CSE programme in 2024. Other than CSE, the top courses for which candidates have the option to get a seat at IIT BHU are Chemical Engineering,  Mechanical Engineering,   Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering and Ceramic Engineering.

Q:   What is the cutoff for IIT BHU 2023?
A:

IIT BHU accepts JEE Advanced score, followed by JoSAA Counselling for admission to the BTech courses. IIT BHU cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 6 of the JEE Advanced Seat Allotment Result. As per IIT BHU cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for BTech was ranged between 1366 and 24641 for the BTech courses. Tabulated below is the cutoff for IIT BHU 2023 for top five specialisations for General category students:

Q:   What is the expected IIT BHU cutoff for Electrical Engineering?
A:

According to the IIT BHU cutoff 2023, the closing ranks were  3358 and 3534, for the General AI category as per the first and last rounds.  BTech in  Electrical Engineering admission at IIT BHU is done through the JEE Advanced rank, followed by the JoSSA counselling process. Therefore, going by the 2023 cutoff pattern, IIT BHU BTech cutoff 2024, which is to be expected, could be in the range between 3000 and 3500.

No direct non exam based admission is not possible for B Tech programs at IIT BHU. Admission is based on qualifying for national level entrance exams like JEE Advanced for B Tech and GATE for M Tech followed by counseling processes like JoSAA or COAP.
