I am satisfied with infrastructure, curriculum, above-average placements in 2023, and zero ragging.
Placements: The average package ranges from 3-4 LPA in core branches. However, certain good companies like HCL and IBM visit the college, and so it is up to the candidate to make the best out of it. Students should try to build some coding skills during the four years and also try for internships. We will have a much better chance of securing a high-paying job.
Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi is available all over campus. I personally don't live in the hostel but have tried mess food once and honesty, it is really good. I have heard from my batchmates and they also are pretty satisfied with the food. Rooms are a bit small according to me. But they also have AC hostels available now for girls. Labs are well-equipped in my branch, and many experiments are taught properly. It is conducted in groups and I found that to be a disadvantage, so unless we are really good with circuits it will be hard to catch up. The canteen food is great and super hygienic.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well-designed. In the first year regardless of our branch, we are supposed to learn engineering drawing, carpentry, hands-on mechanical experiments, chemistry experiments, physics maths humanities, giving PowerPoint presentations, universal values and ethics, CS course, and electrical. Overall, it is great for holistic development. Professors provide notes, PYQs, surprise tests, and assignments, and it is easy to score well if we just study. I do not make that mistake. Definitely attend labs and surprise tests always.
Other: There is no fresher. But we do have fun in teachers' day celebrations in the seminar hall which is quite fun too. Don't expect much, but it's a party-like atmosphere only. There are numerous events happening throughout the year in SV hall, so despite a lack of freshers, it's easy to keep ourselves occupied. There is no ragging. The entire campus is safe.

Heritage Institute of Technology review.
Placements: When it comes to placements, good companies come to campus and offer good packages. In my department, core companies like Tata Motors come, and many other companies like TCS, Wipro, etc., also come. The alumni network provides a lot of help with placements, and good paid internships are also available.
Infrastructure: The labs are well equipped and well maintained. The library has centralized air conditioning, and both the library and the canteen have wifi. The mess provides good food, and the canteen is very clean and hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very helpful. They help us in every way, every time. The course is relevant, and the syllabus is more or less similar to the competitive exam. Semester exams are based on the class syllabus, so if we follow the class, we'll do well on the exams. About 95% of the students pass.
Other: They accept scholarships like SVMCM. Fest doesn't take place here and the campus is very big and crowded.

It has good faculty, average placements, workable infrastructure and facilities, and a good campus.
Placements: I would say the college, in terms of placements, is pretty decent as it has 85-97% of placement records in the past half-decade. The package offered is pretty average. The median package is around 4.5 LPA whereas the package ranges from 3.5-7 LPA. The college placement office does not really encourage startups to recruit candidates, rather, mass recruiting companies like IBM and TCS are given a free pass. For my course, the maximum package of 2025 is around 6 LPA from Skippers Pvt. Ltd., but most students are recruited by TCS. The college doesn't really entertain or give opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: The college campus has pretty much all facilities and infrastructure that it claims to have on its prospectus/website like free Wi-Fi access to all, all the required labs even though they're a little worn out yet workable and an AC library accessible to all. The college only provides a hostel for girls that is located within 50-80 meters of the campus. The rent and mess fee compared to the food and accommodation that it provides is quite high. The hotel rooms are all non-AC and therefore opting for a PG/rent outside would be a better option. The food in the mess is really below standards.
Faculty: Teachers during both my first and second semesters were really very helpful as they would clear all my doubts, sometimes even over text. Most professors graduated from highly reputable places and mostly hold doctoral degrees. They also help with relatable solutions and suggestions required during the exam. EE being a core branch definitely gives an understanding of the industry in some aspects. Semester exams contain questions that are moderate in difficulty and sometimes exact suggestions or questions also come in the exam, as said by the given subject teacher. Therefore, attending the daily lectures is very important.
Other: I have always been very curious and interested in physics, especially semiconductors and electronics. I chose this course as it has few students (60 in a batch), which would help me compete with less competition and understand better. There are no such fests in the college but there are multiple events at times arranged by the different clubs that we may participate in. The campus is pretty huge with greenery all around. It conducts extracurricular activities like dance, music, fashion, poetry, debate, etc., which are supported by the means of different clubs.

Affordable and valuable college, HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.
Placements: Above 80% of students are placed from our depth of electrical engineering. The highest package was 12 LPA. Average 6.6 LPA. Top companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Approximately 50% of students got internships from our college. And above 30% are completing their internships off-campus.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good for girls and boys. Also, a hostel is available off-campus. Labs are also good, and lab assistants are so humble and helpful. And on campus, there are three canteens, and food quality is also good. But the price is high. Sports and games are also conducted by the students of the college.
Faculty: Teachers all completed their master's course, and they are all helpful. Teaching qualities are so good and also better than in any college. They have a lot of smart classes, like the projector, etc. This is an autonomous college, so questions are settled by the teachers of the college and the moderator also.
Other: Basically, electrical engineering has a lot of scope in the government side or in IT or core companies.

The Heritage Institute of Technology in a gist.
Placements: It is one of the better options available after Jadavpur University. The placement at the college is okay, with approximately 70% of students getting placed. Some students also opt for higher studies. If you are opting for electrical engineering, it should be clear in your mind that you need to prepare for GATE and all. The highest placement in the core sector is 5–6 LPA, and the lowest is 2–3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are available inside the campus for girls at a quite minimal rate. You have to pay Rs.3,000 per month for mess food and somewhere around Rs40,000–Rs.45,000 for the hostel per semester. Rooms are a bit congested but adjustable. Decent sports facilities are available, like archery, basketball, and volleyball. Labs are also okay as of now, I can only tell about the first year. You have to be very consistent and attentive in these labs to understand and grasp the concepts.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful. If you are from out of state, you may face a language barrier and have to put in extra input, but it is adjustable. You may find some good and influential professors who are always ready to help. But, as it is a tier-3 college, whatever you do will be self-driven. You may find it difficult to find a supportive and encouraging community as it is a tier 3 college. If you are a good student and study somewhat, you can easily rock the semester exams without much pressure.
Other: You may not be able to showcase the fest of your college on social media, but there are Youthopia and other little events like Yuvotsav, and some clubs like music, fashion, and drama. If you are the studious type, I highly recommend this college because the syllabus is highly similar to GATE and all. If you have future plans in that direction, try to complete your syllabus one semester prior so that you get ahead of the competition.

Sorry to inform but you can't if you go with the counselling procedure. You can try direct admission or through management quota.
