Placements: Although the batch size in the discipline of Bioscience is smaller, each participant is placed in one or more companies. 83 percent of the pupils were placed in excellent companies. Rs. 45 LPA was the biggest CTC. ISRO, Bharat Petroleum, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Capgemini, Havells, HCL, 1MG, MAQ Software, Crisil, Honda, Zycus, DRDO, Bank of Baroda, and Coal India Ltd were among the 50 firms that visited the campus.

Infrastructure: You are provided with an almirah, a bed, and a study table along with a cushioned chair. As previously mentioned, you are also provided with air-conditioning in every room with the room being single-occupancy. You are also provided with a courtyard in every hostel along with a garden in every hostel. There is a games room along with an ill-equipped gym. There is also a TV room present. Every floor is provided with 12 toilets for around 70 people. The same number of bathrooms are provided along with hot water. The hostel registration process was also fairly simple and easy and really quick. The hostel is also quite affordable when compared with other colleges.

Faculty: In the early days, I was facing difficulty in getting the syllabus, but over the course of a few months, we were assigned a large number of tasks in the lab. Authorities urged us to concentrate on the design techniques of another era. Practical exercise made up 80% of our training. Our council's academic staff were some of the best scientists in the world, having worked on some of the most important projects during their respective tenures. The faculty members carry knowledge of whatever subject they are teaching. The student-to-teacher ratio is appropriate such that every student can easily ask his/her doubts. The grading system of this college also seems pretty fair to me. It is pretty easy to interact with any teacher or professor here at the college. You can simply write an e-mail to the concerned individual and he/she will respond.

Other: There are a lot of fests held in this college but there are majorly three fests, namely VARCHAS, PROMETHEO, and IGNUS. VARCHAS is the sports fest, PROMETHEO is the technological and entrepreneurial fest, and IGNUS is the cultural fest. VARCHAS is held around November, PROMETHEO around January, and IGNUS around March or February.

Satisfied with my college life. Overall placements are good and all the facilities are great.

Placements: 90% students got placed. Top recruiters are Mercedes Benz, Accenture Japan, and Media.net. 20 LPA is the highest and 12lpa is the lowest package. Top roles are data scientist and SDE. Lots of students got off campus internships because of less companies coming to the college.

Infrastructure: Great facilities with single rooms and AC included, full Wi-Fi enabled campus. Hostels are very well-equipped with gyms and playing area mess food is okayish but the menu is very big, you have the different options of the food. Sports complex is very advanced with all the facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and focuses mainly on practical knowledge and research. Industry readiness is not there but course is relevent in future areas. Semester exams are very difficult but percentile system of marking is there. Pass percentage is almost 95%.

The best 2 years of my life summarised in 1000 words.

Placements: The information relating to our batch was that 90% of the students in our course were placed. The highest and the lowest package of our course being 30 Lacs and 6 Lacs respectively. The top recruiting companies in our batch our Microsoft, Google, and Wipro. The top roles offered for the students of our batch were Software Engineer, Data Scientist, and Business Analyst.

Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available to us at IIT Jodhpur is that the college has a sports complex with a variety of sports facilities. The quality of the food was good when we joined the college earlier but during the last six months, the food quality and the taste become bad.

Faculty: The teachers in our college are qualified because most of them are IIT graduates and are holding rich experience in domain knowledge and also help students to get placed in different companies throughout the year. The college regularly keeps on updating the course curriculum keeping the course up to date with taht of the industry standards.

IIT Jodhpur MTech Highlights & Eligibility 2024

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur offers a two-year MSc course. The postgraduate-level course is offered in five specialisations, including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Digital Humanities, and Computational Social Science. Admission is through the all-India level Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM) conducted by IITs. Our college has good infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our college in core as well non-core companies. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and modern. All hostel rooms are equipped with air-conditioners. Classrooms are spacious and good. A huge library is available in our college. It has fewer books. This is a new department, so many things like books and lab instruments are arriving. It is expected to be completed by this year.

Faculty: Our faculty members are well-talented. All of them are experts. They are doing a lot of research work. We may have many future aspects in the future. I would recommend opting for this course.

Other: Our college provided good placements in 2023.

IIT Jodhpur M.Tech Data and Computational Science.

Placements: This is the first batch of data and computational sciences so no statistics regarding the placement scenario. The highest salary was 39 LPA from Microsoft, the lowest salary offered from 3.6 LPA from Infosys and average salary is 7 LPA. No idea about who will recruit, but major companies seeking Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Machine Learning & AI Engineers won't be disappointed. Companies like Goldman Sachs, ExaWizard, Microsoft and other major software giants visit the campus for hiring interns for software developer/intern role, those having Computer Science/ Electrical background are allowed.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is well connected with Wi-Fi. The permanent campus started in 2017, the college was erstwhile established at MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur from its inception in 2008. The campus is newly built, Lecture Hall Complex is ergonomically designed and full operational. Some of the classes in the department are a mess, ACs are not functional, students have to bear it during the lectures. Sports facilities are not that good, outdoor games facilities are the worst, indoor games facilities are good.

Faculty: Faculty is not that great, they don't have much experience as much as other old IITs, but the faculty is always ready to help, no need to take prior appointment to meet the faculty. The course curriculum is more research oriented than industry, this will produce great researchers and academicians.

Other: I chose this course, as I was interested in data science and machine learning. Adding more exposure to industry, would make our course more effective.

If you want to learn data science, then choose M.Sc+M.Tech in data science.

Placements: It is a very new course, which is a combining of mathematics with a data science degree. Therefore, there is no placement record for our course, and we are the first batch for this dual degree course. We have to learn the basics of mathematics and then have to apply them in data science for better usage and faster data handling to improve the efficiency of computer and network models.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great, and the construction work is still in progress. Many buildings are being constructed, but the campus looks beautiful. Facilities like personal rooms with air-conditioners make life comfortable in the heat of Rajasthan. The only problem here is the weather as it is very hot sometimes, and if someone is not habituated to such weather, then they will surely suffer due to health problem. However, the remaining facilities are good, and the food served here is great. Students here are not much interested in sports.

Faculty: For the first two years, we study MSc mathematics, so for this, teachers are good and highly qualified as every teacher is a PhD holder from IISERs or TIFRs. After this course, we will be studying M.Tech in data science, which will make us learn the value of mathematics in data science and technical aspects of abstraction which are in demand in the industry.

Other: I chose this course because it is a unique course, and not many institutes offer this kind of courses which have a combination of basic sciences and advanced technologies. The best thing about this course is that we are provided with a chance to pursue M.Tech degree without pursuing B.Tech or qualifying GATE exam. I wish that the college should encourage M.Sc students to spend time with computers for learning basics concepts, which will be helpful in further M.Tech studies.

Being a student of M.Tech.

Placements: Placement services were done at minimal charges. Most of the students from our branch got placed in core companies with minimum and moderate packages. Only 3 to 5% of students from our branch got hired with maximum salary package of above 5 LPA, and below 7.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: As my college was far away from my home, I used to travel in the college bus, because they charged high for hostel accommodation. Usually, they set some procedure to collect exam fee, only after all the fees were paid. So students face a hectic situation while during payment of examination fee.

Faculty: Professors were not only testing the academic understanding of the students but also often testing the students' external skills and knowledge by conducting creative examinations, games, and simpler learning. Professor's activities were more beneficial for the improvement of our knowledge.
