Review of IIT Kharagpur.

Placements: The placement scenario at IIT Kharagpur for the current batch looks very promising. In the 2023–24 placement season, a total of 1,277 students got placed. In electrical engineering, the highest package offered was around 66 LPA, and the average package was approximately 23.3 LPA.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are modern and well-equipped with projectors, air conditioning, and charging slots for laptops on each bench. The Wi-Fi network is spread all over the campus, providing easy access to the internet. Hostels are very old and not very aesthetically pleasing. Some of the hostels lack washing machines, and the food quality is not good in many.

Faculty: Professors at IIT Kharagpur are well-educated and highly qualified. Although many students are not compatible with their method of teaching. Most of the time it is the students who have to study the same subject all over again from external sources. The course curriculum is fairly relevant.

Welcome to Apna college: IIT Kharagpur.

Placements: It is really good every year with large MNCs and HFT companies come to hire students like Google, Microsoft, Honeywell, Sprinklr and HFTs like Quadeye, Graviton Research, Alphagrep etc. And about 90%-100% students who sit for placements gets an offer.

Infrastructure: I am from LBS hall or residence. Rooms are 3-tier and each block has 2 wings on each floor, with total of 4 blocks. Mess is good, but sanitary actions must be taken care since, I feel bathrooms are unhygienic. There are many sports and grounds for badminton, volleyball, basketball, cricket, football etc. Which are 24*7 open.

Faculty: Electrical course is tough as compared to other departments courses (I feel so at least). Still, our department has good and interactive professors as well as helpful TAs, to clear your doubts. We can contact them anytime if we have some query. Also there are multiple sessions organised to give tips and how to build a professional career.

Other: Based on my AIR 1187, I got Electrical Engineering in IIT Kharagpur. I love the fests organised by Kshitij and Spring fest every year, and enjoy the beautiful enlightened campus.

Review of IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered ranges from 8 LPA to 70 LPA. The maximum salary package offered was 16 LPA. Adobe, Bajaj, and Amazon are the top recruiting companies. Around 70% of students got internships in companies like Oracle, Honeywell, Samsung, etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on our campus. Laboratory is avergae. Library has many books. Hostel facilities are better. Our college also has a small balcony. The food served in the mess is average. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are also conducted in this college.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. They always make us understand very well. Our course curriculum is relevant but it does not make students ready for the industry. Practical experiences are needed in this college. Semester exams are very difficult. The pass percentage is average.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. This course allows us to know about various things we use in day-to-day life. Our college should have more professors.

It was a wonderful college with a very well structured and also to make much good memories to us.

Placements: 100% placed. 96 LPA was the highest, 28 was the average, and 18 was the low package. Amazon, Flipkart, sprinkler, Microsoft, Google, Navi, Accenture, skin. Ai. 90% of students got the internship and also got the pre-placement offers. The top roles offered were software roles, hardware roles, marketing roles, product management roles, and product analyst roles.

Infrastructure: Yes, the facilities were nice, and the Wi-Fi is all over the campus. The classrooms were neat and clean, and the infrastructure was well-built. Mess quality is okay with the south, and the north food is good, and they will keep the two types of chapatis which were very nice to eat. The sports facilities were satisfactory, and the student activity center is also good.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers were well-qualified, and the knowledge is satisfying. Their teaching experience was none, and they have done the PhDs from highly reputed colleges. Yes, the curriculum was well designed and relevant to the course, which we are studying on one basis. The difficulty level is tough, and the students can answer some questions. The pass percentage is good at 90%.

Other: The course is good for me as I studied congo subject. There is nothing to improve as the course, design is well structured. Events like the fest were enjoyable & memorable for me and my career. It has taught me so many ups and downs in my career.

The facilities we get here are very good, and so is the scope of everything else.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed as per the previous year's records. The highest salary package is around 1.2 crore. Top recruiters include companies like Larsen and Turbo, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Steel, Intel, and IBM.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is covered with very high-speed Wi-Fi, with a speed of around 100 Mbps. There are various libraries. There are also DIY labs where you can get every electronic item for free if you want to do any project or anything. In the hostels, each room has a high-speed LAN for every student to access the internet.

Faculty: All professors and assistant professors who take lecture classes are highly qualified with Masters's degrees. They have also done Ph.D. and various other projects in various foreign universities, having a lot of experience. The course curriculum is very relevant. Semester exams are a bit difficult in some subjects, but the questions are as per what is taught in the classes for the majority of subjects.

Other: Electrical engineering is a growing field with applications in both the core and software lines.

It provides good infrastructure, teachers are average, but placements depend upon students.

Placements: Some students who are much serious about their career do get placed in top companies with a great package. The highest salary package offered is 2.4 crore, and the average salary package offered is 20 LPA. Few students are not placed who never study. If students have a mentality that being an IITian, then they will be disappointed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the campus is excellent. The library is great with plenty of books. Wi-Fi speed varies from 70-80 Mbps in some halls to 600-700 Mbps. Food quality is good. Medical facilities are fine, but it could be better. Sports facilities are great.

Faculty: In this college, half of the teachers are good at teaching and half are not good. But almost all the teachers are friendly. Semester exams are difficult. The course is relevant as they are designed by the great minds of the country. If students follow the course then they will be great engineers.

Other: I opted for this course, because I love electrical engineering.

Placements: The placement rate of our institute is almost 90%, with the top recruiting companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc., coming to the campus. The highest package offered was 80 LPA, and the average package was 25 LPA. Almost 60% of students got internships from the course.

Infrastructure: The electrical engineering department is one of the biggest departments in the institute. It has all the necessary facilities like labs, library and huge classrooms. Wi-Fi speed is good compared to others. IIT, Kharagpur, offers the best quality food in the mess. It has BC ROY hospital for medical facilities. Students can play any sports on campus. The infrastructure and facilities for sports are very good in the institute.

Faculty: The faculty members in our institute are very highly educated and have done PhDs in their respective fields. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very handy and easier to study. Students do not feel any difficulty completing the course. The difficulty level of semester exams is much easier than expected. Students can score good marks easily.

Other: The placements for this course are very good and offers more opportunities. IIT, Kharagpur, organizes a lot of events like Spring fest, Iloo, etc., which are very much entertaining for students in the institute. Almost 18,000 students reside on the campus of IIT Kharagpur. We can reach Kharagpur by train, bus which is 130km from the city of Kolkata. The institute offers various scholarships to students.

Faculty and infrastructure are great. Placements are good almost every year.

Placements: Placements are very good, especially for CS, EC and electrical branches. The career development centre is well-organised and efficiently plans the placements season. There were many software jobs offered by banks and MNCs, both abroad and in India with generous compensation packages.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is great with a sprawling library and top-notch labs and classrooms with all the necessary equipment. There's high-speed Wi-Fi facility throughout the campus, and we have gigabit ethernet available in every room. There's a hospital available on the campus, and we also have an ambulance available for emergencies.

Faculty: Faculty members of the electrical engineering department were good, but the CS department had an amazing faculty. The course curriculum is good but can be more flexible, especially in electives as most electives can only be chosen from the same department. But you can take as many additional subjects as you can from any department, provided you finish the prerequisites and the class isn't already full.
