Our college provides digital learning and good infrastructure.

Placements: Approximately 80-90% of the students from this course got placed, while around 10-20% of the students will opt to pursue a PhD. In core companies, the highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. The top recruiting company for our college is L&T. Non-core companies like Airbus also visit here for placements, which offer a salary package of 12 LPA.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus. Classrooms are fully digitalised with projectors, Wi-Fi facility and also charging ports at every bench for laptop. Cinema hall and hospital are free for students. The hostel has double sharing rooms with attached bathroom and balcony. Football, basketball, tennis court, cricket ground, swimming facilities are available.

Faculty: IITs professors are one of the best professors in the world. They are very knowledgeable, well qualified and very talented. They conduct lectures by using PowerPoint presentations, and they provide assignments and lectures through email or google classrooms. This course curriculum is relevant for students who wanted to pursue a PhD. They make industry-ready a little bit, but our college conducts some practical training classes regarding industries for us.

Other: I have chosen this course because I want to become a good designer in structural engineering. I wish that our college should provide basic knowledge in computer programming like Matlab. Our college organises a fest in January and inter IIT tournament in December.

Top class infrastructure, facilities and one of the best in India if not the best.

Placements: 1. In the 1st phase of placement, 4 out of 7 student are placed of the passing batch ( 2018-20). Most probably, the rest will be placed in the 2nd phase, at least the previous year records suggest that. 2. 6 LPA is the highest salary offered for M.Tech Structure. 3. L&T, Total Environment are the recruiters. 4. Design Structural Engineer is the top role. 5. Every company offers around 6 to 6.5 LPA for M.Tech Structural. Not more not less. 6. There are not so much scope of internship for M.Tech people in the company because most of all are interested in doing academic internship in IISc or IITB or foreign universities.

Infrastructure: 1. Facilities and infrastructure are of top-class as it is now IoE. Department/ course also have state of art laboratories. 24*7 library is opened, classroom are of very high quality, the whole campus is provided with very high-speed Wi-Fi system. 2. I am staying in Lal Bahadur Shastri Hall, aka LBS Hall. It is the largest hostel in Asia, have the capacity to accommodate around 2000 students. Hostel is provided with library, gym, 2 huge mess, cricket field, football field, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, table tennis space, a huge common room etc. All these within the hostel premises. Medical facilities are super. There is hospital within campus. All medical expenses including medicines are free of cost.

Faculty: 1. Professors are helpful and knowledgeable and of course, qualified. Teaching method and evaluation methods are very excellent. Quality of teaching is not a question here. The question is the capability of students to take it. 2. The course curriculum is mainly focused on research prospect, not job prospect. So, no it doesn't make the students industry ready rather it trains student to be a very good researcher.

Other: 1. It is the oldest IIT, and IIT Kharagpur structure is one of the best department among civil engineering fraternity across India. 2. May be professors should be doing some recapitulation of B.Tech before starting a particular course. Because often students can not keep with the level of professor in a particular class. 3. Spring Fest is the largest techno-management fest in Asia, students from almost 150 colleges take participation in the fest.

Candidates should be among top 250000 successful candidates including all categories in BE/BTech paper of JEE (Main) 2025. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. 5 years age relaxation is given to SC/ ST/ PwD candidates. Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2024 can appear in JEE Advanced. Applicants who were allocated a seat in an IIT through JoSAA but did not report OR withdrew before the last round of seat allotment OR had their seat cancelled before the last round of seat allotment for IITs are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
