Indian Institute of Technology Madras also known as IITM offers the programmes through regular and full-time modes. Students are offered over ten programmes spanning multiple specialisations. Applications have to be completed through the accepted entrance test/ counselling. For example, for BTech, candidates are required to apply for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced & JoSAA. No separate forms are needed. Similarly, for the MSc, IIT JAM application form is required to be completed. MTech application is through GATE + COAP.
Selection Rounds 2026
Admissions are fully entrance-based. The institute has the following selection criteria for popular programmes:
