IIT Patna MTech is offered across more than ten specialisations. The PG-level course lasts for two years and has a total of four semesters. Artificial Intelligence,Power and Control, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc., are some of the MTech specialisations offered at IIT Patna. No, the GATE registrations for IIT Patna 2026 MSc admissions are no longer open. The GATE registrations were closed in the month of November 2025. The GATE is scheduled to take place in the month of February 2026. Candidates who failed to register for the GATE are required to wait for the GATE 2027

No, the GATE cutoffs for IIT Patna 2025 admissions are currently unknown. The only availabe cutoff data for MSc admissions at IIT Patna comes from IIT JAM. The GATE cutoffs may differ from the IIT JAM however, the difficulty of both exams is relatively the same. Hence, candidates can expect similar

The tuition fees for international BTech students at IIT Patna is INR 32 Lacs for standard BTech courses. Integrated BTech courses with a duration of 5 years charge a tuition fees of INR 40 Lacs from each student.
This tuition fees is charged on per semester basis with each instalment costing INR 3

Among the general MSc admissions at IIT Patna, the lowest number of seats were offered for the MSc in Mathematics admissions. Yes, IIT Patna does offer financial support to its PhD students. However, candidates of the self-financed category of PhD courses are not offered any financial assistance at IIT Patna.
