Review of NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements and job opportunities were also good. Many more well-known rebound companies visited the campus for job selection, offering attractive packages to the Nitans both in the country and abroad. My internship experience was fantastic; six of us completed a summer internship at CSIR-CRRI in Delhi. As we all know, the Central Road Research Institute of India is the premier research institute in India, providing numerous features, improved techniques from newly implemented systems, and innovative ideas to research scholars from top-class scientists.
Infrastructure: The course structure for my program was excellent and focused heavily on research. In the first year, we attended classes and studied various subjects similar to B. Tech, but in the second year, we only had lab work and projects, with the projects being of our personal choice, which I feel was a great step to promote research. For the M. Tech program, the apartments were spacious and well-maintained. Cleaning staff came every morning to clean the area. There were a total of seven messes, and anyone could choose their preferred food options.
Faculty: The faculty's quality was outstanding; they were incredibly helpful in guiding students at every step, whether in class or outside of it. They organized various skill development programs, such as seminars, presentations, and software applications. There was a lot of pressure in M. Tech compared to B. Tech, so the first year of M. Tech was quite hectic. However, in the second year, there were no classes, just project work, allowing students a bit more time to spend.

Satisfied. Though it provides placements but college was not student friendly.
Placements: 80% of the students were placed from my course. The highest package is 12 lakhs and the lowest is 5 lakhs. Top recruiting companies are Intel, Cadence, Mediatek. Top roles are design engineer. 50% of the students got internship in intel, ISRO, etc. Avg. salary offered is 7 lakhs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, Labs, library was available and in good condition. But rooms needs to be maintained. Hostel and quality of food was good. Medical facilities was easily available. Sports and games were organized at regular intervals. Old books should be replaced with new edition books.
Faculty: Some teachers were helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was not upto the mark because of some of the professors. The course curriculum was according to the industry need. Some of the teachers hardly takes classes. Some of the professors were not having good communication skills.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in technologies. Professors could have been better. Fest and campus surrounding was good.
