NIT Jamshedpur is widely known for its top placement from top companies.
Placements: Average package of production and industrial engineering is 12 LPA approximately. 97% of batchmates are placed, which is the highest among all NITs. Overall placement percentage is 93% during the recession period.
Infrastructure: Class is fully air conditioned. Mess is average, which is the same for all engineering colleges. Non-vegetarian students will really enjoy it. Our college has a well-equipped lab, classroom, and every book in the library that you want. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were very helpful and supportive if you are a serious aspirant, and I think every teacher is well educated and qualified, and most of them are from top IITs and NITs. We have lab 4 days out of 7 days, and these leads are really efficient and make the student industrial-ready in his initial days of semester exams. Things will be tough, but as time passes, you will be well prepared.

The overview of NIT Jamshedpur
Placements: The highest package is 22 LPA, the average package is 11 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The placement rate is 97.61%. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Tata Cummins, JSW, Tata Steel, and Vedanta. Above 90 percent of students received internship offers, especially for production and industrial engineering students. Roles include Graduate Engineer Trainee, Production Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Process Engineer.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure of the production and industrial engineering department. There is free Wi-Fi for students in all places like classroom, hostel, library, etc. In the production and industrial engineering department, all machines are well kept and are in working condition. Labs are in good condition. Hostel is also in good condition, well-painted, there is no problem with water, and the food is also good. We get breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, with at least four non-veg meals a week, though sometimes the taste is not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and all have doctorate degrees. They teach very well with live experiments. Yes, this curriculum is relevant for production and industrial engineering students because it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too difficult; if you study properly, you can pass the exam. The pass percentage is 98%.
Other: I chose this course because its placement in Jamshedpur is excellent compared to other colleges, and my marks were also not good. I wish that AI and ML should be added to this course. There are always lots of events on campus, the fests are awesome, and the best fest is Culfest. There are lots of extracurricular activities in Jamshedpur, and you can play many more games.

I am satisfied with facilities and faculty members of this college. Placements are decent.
Placements: About 90% is the average placement rate of our college. The highest package of last year was 16 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA. Average package offered is 9 LPA. Flipkart is the recruiting company, and the salary pacakge is 16 LPA. About 40% of students got internships, not sure about the companies. From our branch, supply chain management has a good scope, also core jobs and MBA for future studies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is really good especially the classrooms. There is projector in every room of the college, and the benches are really good. Talking about library, it's pretty decent. Some room has ACs, some don't. But labs are old. The hostel experience is pretty average. The mess food is not that great, to be honest. The sports and games culture is pretty good. There are basketball courts and grounds to play on.
Faculty: Professors are pretty decent, except for some of them, most of the faculty are good. They teach good and give marks also. Teacher quality is not that great as due to some teachers. The average score of class decreases. I am in second year right now and studying manufacturing and industries and it feels like it is relevant. Not sure if I will be industry-ready but surely they are teaching us many practical things in labs too. Semester exams are not that difficult. One can make good marks in subjects by studying for at least 1 or 2 weeks before exams.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. The events are pretty decent like the fest and all. All is good, to be honest.

Incredible, authentic and excellent placement stats.
Placements: Placements have been one of the key highlights here at NIT Jamshedpur. For the 2020 batch, the placement of the college stands out at 93.76% and an average of 12.63 LPA, with each individual branch having a placement percentage above 90%. The key point to note is that this placement occurred during the recession period. Companies like Amazon and Atlassian came for the SDE role, while companies like Tata Motors and Vedanta arrived for the jobs in the core sector.
Infrastructure: The lecture hall complex at NIT Jamshedpur was recently constructed in the year 2020. All its classrooms are equipped with smart boards and air conditioning. The college has a central library where students can get Wi-Fi as well as a number of books to study. The labs are a bit old but they are being renovated. For boys, students get single rooms from the 2nd year, while 1st year students have to share double-seater rooms. Mess food is okayish. There are basketball and football grounds in some hostels, and there is a dispensary regarding medical issues faced by any student.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers at NIT Jamshedpur hold a Ph.D. degree, so they have a sound Educational background. The curriculum diversified into core subjects for each branch from the 2nd year. Regarding the exams, each semester has mid-semester and end-semester exams, with mid-semester having 30 marks and end-semester having 50 marks. The rest 20 are internals, which are taken in form of quizzes, assignments, etc. The grading done here is absolute and majority of the students pass their exam with papers generally leveling from easy to moderate.

I was dissatisfied at first, but college turned out to be just right.
Placements: Last year, 90% of students were placed. Top recruiting company is Black Rock with 22 LPA package. Roles offered are SDE, core supply chain, data analytics, and data science. Highest package is 22 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and average is 9 LPA. The percentage of students who get internships is above 50%.
Infrastructure: Our college has a top-class lecture hall complex where most of the classes take place. It is fully air-conditioned, and classrooms are very good. It has 24-hour Wi-Fi and LAN facilities in hostels and whole campus. Wi-Fi doesn't work sometimes. Hostel quality remains good throughout the year, except in some cases where some problems occur but they are resolved soon. Food quality is average.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good, some just average, and some are very bad. The course is enough for a core branch, covering all the core concepts along with some non-core concepts. Semester exams are just right, not so hard not so easy. One has to study everything that is taught in class.
