Campus is known for its greenery and versatile nature.
Placements: As far as I have seen, the placements in mining department at our college is good. More or less everyone gets placed with slight difference in packages. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta, JSW, Tata Steel, etc. Roles offered are executive like management trainee and supervisor.
Infrastructure: We have well-equipped classes with all models of mining technologies and there are digital classes. We have central library for the whole college where we can find any kind of book. Coming to the hostel, it has all facilities. Persons accommodated in one room depends on the hostel chosen. We also have night and day canteen where we can get juices, all kind of food. We also have department stores with stationery, xerox, etc.
Faculty: There are few teachers to whom we feel hesitant to approach but more over, they are pretty good. Examination is quite tough. There are atleast 5% people who may get backlog. The curriculum is pretty good and related to industry. College also provides industrial visits.

Campus is good, hostel life is so enjoyable, pros are also good,100% placement in my branch.
Placements: 100% placement in mining engineering. Average package is 8 LPA, lowest is 3.5 LPA and the highest is 14 LPA. Top recruiters are coal india limited, vedanta, Tata, TCS and hindalco etc. No internships are available in this course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is top class & the department is also very much equipped &classrooms are fully air conditioned & labs are also well-equipped & institute has a central library with 86k+ books. Hostel have LAN with 18mbps speed & all the facilities are available.
Faculty: Professors are good but some of them are a little boring. They are relevant and there are labs for practical uses. Semester exams are a little difficult as compared to other institutes.

It is a great college that can't be described and I loved it.
Placements: The college is good for our course. Almost every student got placement in great companies such as BCCL, ONGC, HSL, etc. The highest ever salary package offered was almost 30 LPA, the average salary package offered was 12 LPA -10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA to 9 LPA. About 80% of students got internships. Moreover, the course is great and the college is the best.
Infrastructure: There aren't words to describe how great the college campus is. The hostel with an area of 1200 acres has got everything it needs. There are 2 to 3 swimming pools, gyms, a cafeteria, etc. Some of the older hostels rooms are not that great compared to the new ones but they are great. The food is delicious. Sports are top of the mark. Words are missing to describe the things in the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are awesome, great, and their knowledge is out of this world. They can solve any doubt you have at any time any day. You must respect them for their hardwork and knowledge. Teaching quality is awesome. Because teaching quality is top of the mark, the exams are very difficult. If you don't study, you will not pass and that is the absolute truth.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students get placements, and around 10-15% of students get good packages from that category. Many students go for research and central government jobs. In this covid period, the placement might be going underrated because of online recruitment. So, there will be good for this year.
Faculty: Our experience is good for this college, it depends on students as to how students respond to teachers. Professors are kind and some are strict and short-tempered, but it is good when students behave well. There is a truckload of assignments in students' bags. The course is the same for every student. Attendance is strict and the assignment burden is more. It is engineering, practical is also conducted online mode by showing demo videos. I wish our 2nd semester will be in offline mode.
Other: I thought that in engineering college, seniors might rag students, those seniors I have met are good.

NIT Rourkela provides a good future for you.
Placements: The minimum of 60% of the students get placed in every academic year from B.Tech and M.Tech dual degree course in mining engineering branch. The highest salary package offered is approximately 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is approximately Rs. 80,000 per annum. The average salary package offered is nearly 3.5 LPA or 4 LPA. Vedanta is the top recruiting company for our course. None of the companies selected students for internships from our course.
Infrastructure: In our branch/course, the infrastructure is very developed like every classroom is enabled with a Wi-Fi facility, and also there is a good library facility with various books. In every classroom, air-conditioners are available. The hostel is very good like the food served in the mess is excellent, and medical facilities are excellent.
Faculty: All teachers of our course are very helpful and qualified, but some of them do not use proper teaching process like their style of teaching is not understandable. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. This course is very helpful and useful in the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because mining engineering has many facilities for students, and there are many mining industries in our country and abroad also. So, students can get a good job in mining with a good salary also. I wish that our college should invite some companies to select students for internships from our course and offer them with PPOs.

This college has the best infrastructure among all NITs.
Placements: Around 50-60% got placed from our college. The rest also got placements, but they wanted to go for higher education. The salary package offered ranges from 6 LPA -13 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Vedanta Mining and Aditya Birla. The highest salary package offered in our course was 13 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5.5 LPA. Around 20% of the students got internships in Eduver education-based company, Tata steel company, Jamshedpur, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, library everything, internet in room, modern labs, air-conditioned classrooms are available in our college. First and second year students are given a room to be shared by two members. After 3rd year single room is given to all. Free medical treatment is given by the college. The food served in the mess is good. Two canteens are available in the day and there is a night canteen. The college provides proper stadium for each game. Most important the college has a swimming pool which is the best.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They have good teaching quality. Most of them were mining engineers earlier, and one of them is a renowned scientist named prof. S. Jayantu. The course is much relevant to become a mining engineer, and it makes the students completely industry-ready.
Other: I opted for the course to get a job in coal India, and it is the best mining institute nearby coal mines area. The college needs to provide more study tours. Events and fests are weekly held in the college.

Satisfying environment with the best infrastructure.
Placements: For mining, the placements were offered very good. An average package was offered around 8-9 LPA. The highest placements were offered to the computer science student, the evergreen branch with the higher rated placement. Overall the placements opportunities are good here, i.e. the foreign companies like Amazon is the lifesaver.
Infrastructure: With an area span of 1250-acres the infrastructure is the best in the campus. The buildings for every department and the current building is the tallest building in the city. Can't define the cleanliness and greenery, the separate hostels for boys and girls and also for married people pursuing PhD or M.Tech are provided in the campus.
Faculty: Shining faculty members with great quality guiding. Your every step for the better career. Well-suited course with all the requirements and the credit division is perfect. Each semester is having the perfect combination of subjects which is related to the further studies and with perfect faculty members.
Other: Have a student activity centre which conducts the various events and fest coordinated by the students. Two fests a year, i.e., technical fest and cultural fest were organised in the campus. One at first week of November another at first week of February. Different clubs for different activities are also productive for organising the various events and workshops.

Good infrastructure, poor faculty and higher authority to them in terms of marks submission.
Placements: For our senior batch, the placements were quite well for both B.Tech and Dual Degree students as Coal India, Vedanta, Hindalco and Tata Steel were the core companies visited for campus recruitment. This year the scenario is different with Vedanta and Tata Steel recruiting and no sign of Coal India Ltd. to visit for placements which is a major setback for Dual Degree students as CIL is the only core branch recruiter for them. The lowest was 3.5 lacs from TCS and the highest was 14 lacs from Coal India for senior batch and for the current batch the highest is 10.11 lacs from Tata Steel. Two students are placed in paid internship in Tata Steel this current batch. There is a placement cell present.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are adequate for the number of seats available with open Wi-Fi connection, good medical and sports facilities in college as well as the hostel. In summer though it becomes extremely difficult to study with no AC connection. Some mess have excellent food quality while some have the worst of the lot like in DBA hall of residence. Hostel rooms depend on which hostel you live as in some hostels two boarders have to stay in a single-person rooms while some hostels have adequately spaced rooms with a good infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty members are not well-versed in their subjects and often are not interested in teaching rather they use the facilities of the college in research department for the personal goals. In marks and grades, the teachers have the complete authority of the total 100 marks of the subject which gives them a high amount of autonomy. The curriculum is weak and goes by the old standards of learning and the students are not getting a good exposure to the recent developments in their current branch.
Other: Scholarship is only awarded if you are from the reserved category or your parent income is less than a certain amount. Tech and cultural fest are held every year and now this year our college hosted sports fest where many colleges participated. The campus is full of greenery but connectivity is a major problem here as the college is situated in one corner of the city while the markets are located in other corners of the city.
