Real review from NITian.
Placements: Almost 95% above are placed in the PIE branch. Overall, there is 92% placement percentage at NIT Jamshedpur. In this course, the highest would be around 18-20 LPA and above, the average would be around 10 LPA, and the lowest would be around 5 LPA. Eaton, JSW Steel, Flipkart (supply management roles), etc. Top roles include Data Analyst, supply chain roles, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel, I would rate 5 above and more especially, the hostel is at the level of IITs and above any NITs hostel. Cleanliness in the hostel is also top-level, sweeping machines are used. Mess food, I would rate 4.5. Non-Veg is very good. Veg students have to suffer a little bit. Medical, I would rate 5. There is always an ambulance available 24/7, and there are doctors for stress and anxiety. Also, one of my classmates has anxiety problems, so the college authority takes it seriously. Sports, Iwould rate 4. Mostly, all sports are available, so overall 4. You can check out my Instagram profile (raja_kumar.018), don't forget to follow me.
Faculty: Professors are helpful. All course curricula are relevant as they have recently been renewed. Here, branch-specific subjects are being taught by professors who are important for the future, such as C++, Java, CSS, and DSA, which are included in the CSE branch. PIE branch includes Supply management subjects, and Data Analysis subjects are market-ready subjects. Semester exams are of a moderate level, except for 1-2 subjects, depending on proof.

NIT Jamshedpur is widely known for its top placement from top companies.
Placements: Average package of production and industrial engineering is 12 LPA approximately. 97% of batchmates are placed, which is the highest among all NITs. Overall placement percentage is 93% during the recession period.
Infrastructure: Class is fully air conditioned. Mess is average, which is the same for all engineering colleges. Non-vegetarian students will really enjoy it. Our college has a well-equipped lab, classroom, and every book in the library that you want. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were very helpful and supportive if you are a serious aspirant, and I think every teacher is well educated and qualified, and most of them are from top IITs and NITs. We have lab 4 days out of 7 days, and these leads are really efficient and make the student industrial-ready in his initial days of semester exams. Things will be tough, but as time passes, you will be well prepared.

The overview of NIT Jamshedpur
Placements: The highest package is 22 LPA, the average package is 11 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The placement rate is 97.61%. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Tata Cummins, JSW, Tata Steel, and Vedanta. Above 90 percent of students received internship offers, especially for production and industrial engineering students. Roles include Graduate Engineer Trainee, Production Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Process Engineer.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure of the production and industrial engineering department. There is free Wi-Fi for students in all places like classroom, hostel, library, etc. In the production and industrial engineering department, all machines are well kept and are in working condition. Labs are in good condition. Hostel is also in good condition, well-painted, there is no problem with water, and the food is also good. We get breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, with at least four non-veg meals a week, though sometimes the taste is not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and all have doctorate degrees. They teach very well with live experiments. Yes, this curriculum is relevant for production and industrial engineering students because it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too difficult; if you study properly, you can pass the exam. The pass percentage is 98%.
Other: I chose this course because its placement in Jamshedpur is excellent compared to other colleges, and my marks were also not good. I wish that AI and ML should be added to this course. There are always lots of events on campus, the fests are awesome, and the best fest is Culfest. There are lots of extracurricular activities in Jamshedpur, and you can play many more games.

Incredible, authentic and excellent placement stats.
Placements: Placements have been one of the key highlights here at NIT Jamshedpur and for the 2020 batch, the placement of the college stood at 93.76%, with an average package of 12.63 LPA, and each individual branch had a placement percentage above 90%. The key point to note is that this placement occurred during the recession period. Companies like Amazon and Atlassian came for the SDE role, while companies like Tata Motors and Vedanta arrived for jobs in the core sector.
Infrastructure: The Lecture Hall Complex at NIT Jamshedpur is recently constructed in the year 2020 and all its classrooms are equipped with smart boards and air conditioning. The college has a central library where students can access Wi-Fi as well as a number of books to study. The labs are a bit old, but they are being renovated. For boys, students get single rooms from the 2nd year, while 1st-year students have to share double-seater rooms. Mess food is okay. There are basketball and football grounds in some hostels, and there is a dispensary for medical issues faced by any student.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers at NIT Jamshedpur hold a Ph.D. degree, so they have a sound educational background. The curriculum is diversified into core subjects for each branch from the 2nd year. Regarding the exams, each semester has mid-semester and end-semester exams, with the mid-semester carrying 30 marks and the end-semester carrying 50 marks. The remaining 20 marks are internals, which are taken in the form of quizzes, assignments, etc. The grading done here is absolute, and the majority of the students pass their exams, with papers generally ranging from easy to moderate.

Best college in terms of placements and extra exposure.
Placements: Best placement among top NITs. In 2023, the highest placement was 84 Lacs, not only for 1 student but around 6 students were placed in this amazing placement. The average placement rate of this institute is around 16 LPA, and the lowest branch secured better placement in comparison to other NITs.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure but improvements required. The infrastructure is good but quite old. Overall, the infrastructure is good; all essential required things are there. NIT Jamshedpur has a Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex, and it is fully centralized with AC classrooms.
Faculty: Best professors; world's top 2% are from NIT Jamshedpur. Some professors are quite awesome; they clear concepts like your JEE teacher and teach us from basic to advanced. Also, suggest some good, conceptually strong, and interesting books that will help us to get good marks in exams.

Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Deloitte, and L and T. 9.9 percent of students got Internships. Top roles offered are Product management, Process engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi are not installed yet but the process is ongoing. This is a 2 crore project to install Wi-Fi. In our campus, classrooms are AC equipped and sound proof. Library is nice and maintained. Food quality in mess is awesome. Canteen is also good and well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified from reputed Institutions like IITs and NITs. Course curriculum is outdated but if you join a club, then there will be a enough exposure for you. Semester exams are not difficult.

Really good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: 98 percent of the students in my batch were placed in my course. The highest package was 32 lacs and the lowest package was 3 lacs per annum. Average package was 11 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies include Flipkart, DMI Finance. 92 percent of the students got internship from my course. Roles of data analyst, Software Development Engineer and in Supply Chain Management roles.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are big and air conditioned. Library also is air conditioned and is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostels are good and the quality of food in mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities provided by the dispensary is also good. Facilities of every sport is provided by the institute.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified and there are enough teachers in the department. The course curriculum is very relevant and it makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are not very difficult and the pass Percentage is around 40 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in industrial engineering and management. The best thing about this course is the supply chain management part which also will be helpful if I go for MBA in future. The course can be made force flexible by adding optional subjects. Our college conducts three major fests - cultural, technical and sports. It also gives fee remissions for different economic classes.

Our college provides numerous scholarships and fee remission options. Our college organises many fests.
