It is the best NIT in North and is worth joining.

Placements: Our college has good placement stats. Overall, 80-90 percent of students get placed, depending upon the branch, with the package ranging from 10-12 LPA in core branches and above 20 LPA in the CSE branch. Overall, I would say we will get a good number of opportunities for placements and internships if we are good at studies and maintain a good CPI.

Infrastructure: Our college has decent sports facilities. The college also has an athletics ground, cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball court, an indoor badminton court, a pool table, 1 cricket net, and 2 more in making for cricket practice. The hostel also has indoor table tennis and a badminton court.

Faculty: Professors are helpful and highly qualified. They have a good knowledge of their field. The course they are teaching is industry-ready and relevant to the industry. Passing semester exams is not very tough, and we just need 30-35 percent to pass the course.

Other: There is a good campus life if students have good friends. It organises decent fests.

College is good if you get it come here You know nothing is completely perfect.

Placements: Materials Engineering batch had ~65% placements. The highest package was ~?20 LPA, average ~?6 LPA, and the lowest ~?3.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Tata Steel, JSW, L&T, Infosys, and TCS. Around 50% students secured internships at Tata Steel, SAIL, DRDO, and IT firms.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent, mess food quality is average. Sport facilities are also available we have 2 basketball courts, hockey ground, lawn tennis courts and an athletic ground which is big enough to play all the other sports. Library is well-equipped Wi-Fi is available there medical facilities are also good.

Faculty: Professor are well qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. All the curriculum is on the basis of the industry needs. Exam are on the tougher side sometimes it's depend on the professor but id you study well you will get a higher gpa. So start you studies for a week before you exam.

Other: Fest are good they are very helpful in personality development.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, a language, one from the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology /Technical Vocational subject, and any subject other than the above four subjects in year 2024, 2025. Candidates must have secured the mentioned aggregate marks of these five subjects in the Class 12th examination (PwD candidates should score at least 65% marks) or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12th examination conducted by respective Boards. Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2026, are also eligible.
