Nice campus with good placements.
Placements: In the college almost 90 percent of students are placed in four companies and nearly 100 percent in non-teaching roles. The highest salary offered is 45 LPA, the average is around 12 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. Major recruiters include Google, Microsoft, and L&T.
Infrastructure: Hostels are allotted to each student in the college. For the first year a single room is shared with 2 students while in the second year onwards a single room is allotted to single students. The mess food quality is not so good. The library is full of books and books. You'll get newspapers and magazines too. The classroom is very high-tech and air-conditioned. They have whiteboards and a green board, projectors, and a podium equipped with a mic. Many sports events here, like cricket, football, Premier League, badminton, etc., are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and always willing to help. They communicate well. The curriculum focuses on preparing students for jobs. The semester exams can be a little tough but the high pass rate shows that the course is well-structured. Faculty members are good and approachable.

Mostly all things are favourable.
Placements: Around 80% to 85% of students get placed in our course. Companies like Aditya Birla, Tata, and PhonePe recruit students from our course. Every student gets an internship in the 3rd year through hard work. The average package is 12 LPA, and the highest package is 50 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in our hostel include Wi-Fi, drinking water, light, fans, and beds. Fully air-conditioned classrooms are available in our college. A central library is also available on our campus, and books can be issued by students. Cricket, kabaddi, and other sports are also included.
Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. All of them are PhD holders. The courses are relevant to industry needs. Besides, one has to prepare himself/herself too. Each semester has 2 exams, a midterm and an end-of-term exam. If one studies, they will pass easily.
Other: Our department has facilities such as a library, Internet service, digital library, well-maintained labs, well-furnished classrooms, etc. Hostels for boys are decent, and they vary from student to student. The food is good, and sometimes the food quality may be poor, but overall it's good. Our college also has a medical facility available 24/7. For sports, a sports complex is there, which has all kinds of indoor and outdoor sports.

One of the best engineering institutes in Bihar.
Placements: Almost 87 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 36 LPA. Top recruiting companies include L&T, Tata Steel, Jusco, etc. Many students get internships at companies like Amazon and PhonePe. Students perform well in placements overall. The lowest package offered by L&T this year is around 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Although the overall infrastructure is average, facilities like campus Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs, comfortable classrooms, and a large library make a significant difference. The library has a wide collection of books, so students do not need to spend much on external study materials. The Student Activity Centre (SAC) includes indoor games such as chess, table tennis, squash, etc. Transport facilities and on-campus housing are also available. The mess food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, with many holding degrees and achievements from top IITs. They cover the syllabus effectively, though some are strict. The curriculum remains the same as the previous batch. End-of-semester examinations are more important than mid-semester examinations.

Placements are good, if you are good and don’t mind a small campus, you can join this college.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students usually get placed in my Electrical branch; however, not everyone gets high packages like 20–25 LPA. Only a few people get it. The highest package is usually 30–35 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and the average package is 9.8 LPA as of 2025. Top recruiters are PW, Tata Motors, Amazon, Google, Oracle, TCS, Adobe, etc. Most students usually get placed in CS jobs, not in core. Internship percentage is not that high, only 30 percent of students get internships, usually in Amazon, DE Shaw, etc. Top roles are SDE1, SDE2, SDE3, also executive engineer, and some join PSU.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not up to the mark as per NIT standards. The college area is very small. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, but the classrooms are not that good, some are equipped with AC, some are not. The library is good, with ample seating and all the books of my course available. Hostel facility is good. I am residing in Brahmapur Hostel, which was built recently, so it is quite good and big. Mess food is eatable, and canteen facilities are also available at night. Medical and sports facilities are not available.
Faculty: Teachers are quite good and professional in their work and are highly qualified. Most teachers have done their Ph.D. from IITs. Teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant, but not very industry-oriented, so you have to work on your own to reach that level. Semester exams are easy, and you can easily score high marks by studying a few hours daily. The pass percentage is 30 percent, however, grading is relative, so it is highly dependent on the performance of other students as well.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted a good branch and a decent college, so I chose this as per my rank in the JEE exam. To make it more industry-oriented, events and fests are not very active in our college. Connectivity is very good. Scholarships are available for some students. You can participate in extracurricular activities as they are common, with most clubs regularly organizing them.

My college is very good.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students are placed in this course in different categories. The highest package is around 42 LPA and the average is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and SAP visit our campus to hire students. By the end of this course, 80 percent of students receive internship offers, which may provide a stipend or may not.
Infrastructure: We have recently shifted to the new NIT Patna. It is very beautiful and bigger than the old NIT. The old NIT was around 50 acres, while the new one is around 120 acres. They provide Wi-Fi 24/7, and all labs and the library run with air conditioning. Food quality is good, but somewhat difficult for South students, but we manage.
Faculty: The college curriculum is good. Professors are very knowledgeable and highly educated. They are very helpful in implementing our ideas in any type of project. The difficulty of exams varies with year and faculty. Grades follow relative grading, and if we want good grades, we have to be at the top of our class.
Other: It is not a normal college where we can get easy admission. It is not a top NIT or the least NIT. It is in the middle. But inside the college, everything is good. Students belonging to SC, ST, and lower-income backgrounds get full scholarships for their tuition fees. They only pay for living in the college.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students are placed in this course, but in different categories. The highest package is noted to be around 42 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and SAP visit our campus to hire students. At the end of this course, 80 percent of the students receive internship offers, which may provide a stipend or may not.
Infrastructure: I live in the hostel named Brahmapur Hostel of the National Institute of Technology, Patna. This is one of the largest boys’ hostels in NIT Patna, and yesterday there was a special dinner. There are three boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel. The total capacity is around 1,400 students. Some hostels have poor basic facilities. The Wi-Fi is very slow due to the large number of users. The library is well-equipped, but the classrooms are a bit old. The mess food is unacceptable.
Faculty: Teachers in the department are invaluable to students. But teachers from other departments, like the Physics department, do not seem well-qualified. Students have to prepare on their own. The course curriculum is very relevant and focuses only on courses that help with placements. There are two mid-term exams and one end-of-semester exam in each semester.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: From the end of the 3rd year, students start doing internships in different companies, and from the start of the 4th year, they start getting placed in different firms or companies. The average package offered depends on the student's capability and how hardworking they are. The average package offered to the EE students ranges from 12-13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Rooms in the hostel are good and easy to live in. The compound of the hostel is very good. Cleanliness is there. The meal provided is of very good quality and also tasty. Different types of dishes are provided on different days. The registration process starts before the start of every semester for the hostel, and almost all students get a room. If anyone does not get a room or wants to live off campus, they can take PG or a room near campus. There is too much availability near NIT Patna.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good. Faculty members are approachable, but they are not understandable. They do not give practical help. Proof. Abhishek Raj sir, taught us the elements of electrical engineering in the second semester. He taught us very well and is approachable. Proof. Rishi Kumar Jha sir taught us differential equations in the second semester, and he is super with his knowledge and understanding experience. There are 2 written exams in a semester. One is a mid-semester exam, and the other is an end-semester exam.

It depends on the other alternatives available. You cannot go just for the tag NIT. Branch allocated and relative comparison between the options available as per your Jee Mains score is very important. All the best!
