NIT Sikkim Placements 2025: Median Package, Average Package, Top Companies

The lowest package details for the recent placement is not out yet. However, the institute has disclosed the course-wise median package for the past three years of placements. From 2021 to 2023, an improving trend was observed in the BTech median package. On the other hand, the M.Tech median package has been fluctuating.  NIT Sikkim course admissions are entrance-based. For admission to its BTech programme, NIT Sikkim accepts the JEE Main scores, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. NIT Sikkim admission to M.Tech and MSc programmes is based on GATE and IIT JAM scores, respectively. After qualifying for the respective entrance exams, interested candidates must apply for the relevant counselling sessions, such as JoSAA, CCMN and CCMT, to gain admission to various courses offered by the institute. 

 NIT Sikkim JEE Main cutoff 2025 was declared for admission to various BTech course specialisations for multiple categories under the All India and Home State quota. The JEE Main cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing ranks.

For the General AI quota, the overall cutoff ranged from 21087 to 84897 for enrolment to various BTech branches. According to the last round, the most competitive specialisation for admission was BTech CSE.

National Institute of Technology Sikkim provides various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes through nine departments. These departments are mentioned below:

NIT Sikkim offers BTech programmes with a duration for four years. BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is offered in five specialisations namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. For admission to BTech programme candidates need to take the JEE Main exam and aslo secure minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWS) in class 12 exam.

NIT Sikkim JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the OBC AI quota ranged from 7236 to 90926. According to the last round closing ranks, the most sought-after BTech branch for admission was BTech CSE. 

Among the OBC HS quota, the cutoff ranged from 129104 to 1152850, wherein the most competitive specialisation, according to the last round, proved to be BTech CSE as well. Candidates can check the table below to know the first and last round cutoff for this category and quota.

NIT Sikkim JEE Main cutoff 2025 was published for admission for various categories under both the All India and Home State quota.

Yes, NIT Sikkim be considered a good college for engineering. NIT Sikkim CCMT Cutoff 2025 is out for various categories and rounds for admission to various M.Tech Specialisations. M.Tech in Communication and Signal Processing was the most competitive, with the cutoff score being 432, while on the other hand, M.Tech in VLSI & Embedded Systems was the easiest for students belonging to the General AI category, with the cutoff score being 360. NIT Sikkim admission procedure 2025 for all the courses is different. Candidates have to apply via various national level entrance exam and central counselling to get admission into the institute. Find below NIT Sikkim admission process 2025:

• Candidates seeking admission at NIT Sikkim are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. After appearing for the respective entrance exams, candidates have to apply for the counselling process for the final seat allotment.
• For its flagship BTech course, NIT Sikkim admits students with a valid JEE Main score and are allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling. Admission to M.Tech is done through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly for MSc admission, IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling are required. However, PhD admission requires to appear in the Institution entrance exam and PI. Additionally, NIT Sikkim conducts IAT (Institute Admission Test),  for admission to the left-over seats from the CCMN and CCMNT counselling for MSc/MTech.
• The cutoff for BTech, MTech, and MSc courses is released by the respective counselling bodies.The shortlisted candidates are then required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

National Institute of Technology, Sikkim was established in 2010.  As per the ranking, the institute falls in the 151-200 rank band, as per NIRF 2023 rankings of Tech Colleges. NIT Sikkim has been recognised as an 'Institution of National Importance' by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. Talking about the NIT Sikkim placement rate for the BTech programme, it offers a decent package. As per the latest placement brochure, 83.70% of BTech students were placed during the academic year 2022-23. Further, the BTech students of NIT Sikkim received 100% internship opportunities in reputed organisations. NIT Sikkim provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. No such scholarship is provided by the institution. If a student wants to apply for any scholarship have to check the mail coming from the academic office and try to contact the Nodal officer for Scholarship and the assistant registrar for further process and application.
