How to Submit a Rechecking Request for NID 2026 B.Des Result?; Window Active Now, Check Steps and Documents required

The re-check window for the DAT Prelims was open soon after the results were out. The candidate has to apply for re-check online. 

If, after the re-check, it is found that there are totalling errors or some answers have not been marked, the correction is made. In that case, the candidate was issued a new scorecard.

The results of DAT Prelims for B.Des was declared on April 02, 2026, while results for the M.Des programme was declared on February 12, 2026.

Yes. In case, you are not satisfied with the allocated seat or have a better option available, you are allowed to participate in the other rounds of counselling. In case the candidate wants to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling, then he or she has to opt for auto upgrade. Note that if the candidate is allocated a higher preference seat in the subsequent round, then seat allocation of the previous round will be cancelled. As per the official notification, the DAT Prelims will carry 40% and DAT Mains will carr 60% weightage for the B. Des programme. In case of M.Des programme, DAT Prelims carries 30% weightage, while DAT Mains carries 70% weightage.

The National Institute of Design has declared the final results of NID DAT 2026 for the B. Des and M.Des courses separately. NID B.Des Final Result  2026 was released on May 26, 2026 and for M.Des, it was released on April 23, 2026.

 

A. NID cutoffs vary from course to course as well as the reservation category to which candidates belong. In 2019, NID cutoff for B. Des course for general category candidates at NID Ahmedabad was 96.84 whereas the cutoff for M.Des course vary depending on the discipline for which candidates had applied for admissions. Requests for rechecking the answer booklet of the that Prelims has to be submitted online at admissions. Nid. Edu. Rechecking is restricted to whether all the answers have been marked, and whether there has been any mistake in the totaling of marks for each question in Part II of answer booklet and transferring the marks correctly onto the first cover page of the answer booklet. No, NID Entrance Exam cutoff is released separately for the various categories. For instance, the cut-off is available for categories like Open, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PH categories. Note that open category candidates will not be considered for admission under reserved category seats. However, candidates belonging to reserved category will be considered for admission under both open and the reserved category they belong to. To be considered for admission under reserved category, the candidate must furnish the required category certificates. No, once a candidate pays the token fee, NID will not refund it under any circumstances. So, candidate must pay the seat acceptance or token fee if they have finalized their admission. Also, note that token fees have to be paid by candidate only if he or she has been allocated a seat. Also, if candidate fails to pay the token fees, seat allocation will be cancelled. These vacant seats will then be filled in the next counselling round.
