List of Documents Required for NIFT Application Form 2025 - The NTA has closed the application form for NIFT 2025. The candidate can edit the NIFT 2025 application form from January 15-16, 2025.

The NTA has released the admission schedule for the NIFT 2025 entrance exam, including the application dates.
With regular fees, application were open from Nov 22-January 6, 2025. However, with late fees, application were accepted up to January 9, 2025.
Candidattes applying a late fee will have to pay an additional INR 5,000.
NIFT has released the program-wise eligibility criteria that candidate needs to meet for admission to the design programme they are applying to. The National Institute of Fashion Technology currently offers B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech, and MFM courses at its 18 participating NIFTs.
The candidate will be given the option to edit the NIFT 2026 application form in the second week of January 2026.
Using the NIFT application edit option, the candidate will be able to edit or correct some of the information in the application form. Some of the details the candidate can edit include name, date of birth, category, state domicile, etc. However, the candidate is not allowed to edit the exam city. The schedule for the application correction will be notified by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at its admission portal - niftadmissions.in.
For instance, if the candidate doesn’t upload their category certificate, then they will be considered for admission under the open category.

NIFT entrance exam 2025 will be conducted in two stages.
- The candidate will first take a written exam - CAT and GAT
- If shortlisted, the candidate has to appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview
The final result of NIFT 2025 will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exam and Situation Test/ PI.

The list of documents to be uploaded while applying for the NIFT 2025 exam is outlined below:
- Copy of Board / University Certificate as proof of Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s
- Name and Date of Birth
- Type of Identification–Bank A/c passbook with photograph /Passport Number/ Ration Card/

What if I don’t follow NIFT 2025 application format?
The candidate may face several issues if they don’t follow the NIFT 2025 application form document guidelines. A few of them are explained here.
- The candidate may not be able to upload the document.
- This means the application process will be incomplete.
- Even if the candidate somehow manages to upload the document, there is a chance the application may be rejected because it doesn’t meet the prescribed specifications.
The NIFT 2024 application form will open shortly. When filling out the form, the candidate will have to upload the following documents.
Self-attested certificates of qualifying examination, i.e.10+2/degree (marks sheet and certificate)
In case the candidate has appeared for qualifying exam/compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due, the date sheet /admit card for examination has to be uploaded.
Birth certificate (Secondary School Mark Sheet & Certificate) (Original and Photocopy).
SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD certificate that is issued in the name of candidate.
Certificate of Medical Fitness to be signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.
Self declaration for seeking provisional admission only in case, the result of qualifying examination is yet to be declared.
Additionally, the candidate will also have to upload an undertaking regarding anti-ragging and refund of fees.
As per the current system, there is no scope to pay the NIFT 2025 application fee using demand draft.
The candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee 2025 online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2025 application form filling process will not be considered complete. The NIFT 2025 application fee for general category is INR 3,000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and PwD candidates only need to pay INR 1,500. It is recommended that candidates pay the fee specific to their category, or else the candidate may not be considered for admission.
When filling out the NIFT 2026 application form, you will have to upload your photograph and signature. The accepted specifications for the documents are mentioned below. Photograph - Upload only a recent scanned passport size color photograph. The accepted file size should be no more than 100KB. The accepted format is jpeg only. Signature - The scanned signature should be in Blue/Black ink on white background. The accepted file size is 100KB (maximum). The file should be in jpeg format only.
So, make sure that you follow the given instructions when uploading the documents.

How to fill NIFT Application Form 2025
To apply for the NIFT 2025 exam, candidates must follow the steps listed below.
- Create an applicant account - The candidate must use their Aadhaar details and get it verified. Next, they need to enter their email ID, mobile number, and parent’s name. On successful registration, an applicant account will be created.
- Fill in the application form - Log in to the newly created applicant account and fill in academic qualification, correspondence address, personal information, and other relevant details.
- Select NIFT 2025 test center - The list of available exam cities will be shown in the drop-down menu. Select the relevant city.
- Upload documents - You will have to upload documents per the given format and specification.
- Pay the application fee - Finally, pay the application fee of NIFT 2025 to complete the application process. Note that the application fee is category-specific. The application fee is non-refundable.

Will there be a NIFT 2025 Application Form Correction Window?
Yes, NTA will allow candidates to edit the NIFT 2025 application form.
The correction window will open after the application form closes.
Using the correction window, the candidate can correct all particulars in the application form, except for the mobile number and email ID.

NIFT Admit Card 2025
NTA will release the NIFT 2025 admit cards separately for the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.
The admit card will be released for all candidates who complete the NIFT 2025 application process. The admit card has to be downloaded online from the NTA portal using one’s application number and date of birth.
On the day of the NIFT 2025 exam, the candidate needs to bring with them the admit card and a valid photo ID proof.
Without these documents, the candidate will not be allowed inside the exam center.
The admit card will carry details like the candidate’s name and roll number, date and time of the exam, name and address of the exam center, and exam-day guidelines.
