Note: The Part A cut-off is not the admission cut-off. The admission cut-off is the minimum mark or rank required to get admission to the M.Des program. IIT Bombay conducted the CEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025, and declared the result on March 05, 2025.

Q:   Will the admission cut-off of CEED 2025 be released by IIT Bombay?
A:

IIT Bombay will not release any admission cut-offs for CEED 2025. Note that unlike UCEED 2025, IIT Bombay doesn’t conduct any Joint Seat Allotment. Consequently, IIT Bombay is only responsible for conduct of the CEED 2025 exam and declaration of results.

Candidates will have to apply to the participating institute themselves based on their CEED 2025 scores. These participating institutes will then prepare admission cut-off based on parameters like number of applicants, seat intake, category under which admission is sought, etc.

Note that the Part A cut-off for CEED 2025 will be released in February 2025.

Q:   What factors are considered to determine the admission via CEED 2025 cut-off?
A:

The participating institute of CEED 2025 will consider the following points for determining the admission cut-off:

  • The number of candidates appearing in CEED 2025

  • The performance of candidates in the exam

  • The merit ranks of applicants seeking admission to the college

  • Total seat intake

  • Category under which admission is sought

  • Previous years’ cutoff trends

Note that the above factors are variables; so, if any of these factors change, the cut-off would also change.

Q:   When will the admission cut-off of CEED be released?
A:

IIT Bombay only releases the qualifying cut-off of CEED Part A. It will, however, not release any admission cut-off.

The qualifying cut-off for Part A will be released on February 6, 2025. The cut-off will be released in the form of Mean Deviation and Standard Deviation.

The mean and standard deviation for Part-A (CEED 2024) were 41.90 and 16.72, respectively.

Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the Part A cut-off.

Meanwhile,  the admission cut-off would be released by individual participating institutes at the time of seat allotment. The admission cut-off is the minimum score one needs to get admission.
