UDAAN, CBSE's initiative for female engineering aspirants has helped 135 girl students to crack JEE Mains exam for admissions to engineering colleges this year.

Applications are now open for UDAAN, a mentorship project launched by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) to tackle the issue of low enrolment of girls in technical colleges of India. Fostered under the guidance of the HRD Ministry, the scheme aims to enable and empower girl students to fulfill their aspiration of pursuing technical education along with minimising the gap between school education & engineering entrance exam. Besides this, the project will also enrich and enhance teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics subjects at the SSC (Senior Secondary Class) level.

As part of the program, applicants will be offered free offline or online resources via virtual classes on weekends. They would also be provided study materials in Class XI and XII to prepare for entrance exams for premier engineering colleges in the country.
