Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (SITEEE) is one of the important exams for engineering students. It is more important for those students who are interested in pursuing various courses at Symbiosis Institute of Technology. So, in this article, we will discuss some of the important tips to clear the exam and achieve good results in SITEEE 2020.

Understanding SITEEE exam pattern will surely help in creating a plan and making the preparation process easier. As preparation without knowing the exam structure is like driving the vehicle without any direction.
- It will be conducted in online mode
- The sections are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- There will be 25 MCQs in Physics and Chemistry section
- There will be 50 MCQs questions in Mathematics. Total Marks: 200 and Total Duration: two hours and thirty minutes. Every right answer will give you +1 mark
- The best thing about this exam is that there is no negative marking for wrong answer
The SITEEE exam is easy as compared to JEE and other such exams.
Also, I am sure that most of the students who are preparing for SITEEE would also be preparing or have prepared for JEE Main. This would benefit many students directly or indirectly, as preparing for one exam could also cover various other exams preparation because of the common syllabus. The students are quite lucky that they have got some good extra time for the preparation of their entrance exams. So, every student should make the most of this time.

Master TipsÂ
- Attempt and practise as many mock tests as possible
- Identify every mistake in the test, analyse it well and ensure that the same mistake is not repeated in the next tests
- Try to go through and solve previous year’s papers (Previously this exam was called SET)
- As there is no negative marking in the SITEEE exam. So, try to attempt all questions even if you don’t know some questions. Attempting all the questions in this exam is a better option than leaving some questions unanswered
- Do effective and written revision of every subject rather than just reading the chapters
- Make a handbook of important formulae of all subjects as this would help in quick revision
- Refer to some particular books or material for every subject. Collecting or using different study material is not important but making the maximum use of selected or good material would be beneficial.

- Prepare good study timetable and adhere to it stringently
Suggested time distribution for  each subject in the exam
Physics: 35 – 40 Minutes
Chemistry: 25 – 30 Minutes
Mathematics: 30 - 75 Minutes

SITEEE is for admission in BTech programmes offered by SIT Pune. The SITEEE exam is scheduled for two dates: May 2, 2026 (Test 1) and May 10, 2026 (Test 2). Registration for SITEEE ends on April 15, 2026.
