JEE Advanced 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur made the official website of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2021 live long ago. However, the exam has to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the country. Now, after the announcement of JEE Main dates, it is expected that the IIT Kharagpur will announce the JEE Advanced dates and make available its application form soon.

The exam will be conducted online across various test cities distributed over seven zonal IITs. Candidates must check the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria before filling the application form. There will be two compulsory papers in JEE Advanced 2021: Paper-1 and Paper-2. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE main 2021 qualified candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2021. Qualification: Candidates must have qualified class 12 board exam in 2020. Students appearing for the board exam in 2021 with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry from any recognised board or university to be eligible.

Percentage: The 75% criteria in the qualifying exam has been relaxed.

Age Limit: Candidates must have born on or after October 1, 1996. There will be 5 years of relaxation for reserved category candidates.

No of Attempts: Candidates will be only allowed to attempt JEE Advanced two times in two consecutive years.

Other (Mandatory): Candidates must come under the top 2.5 lakh qualifying candidates in paper-1 of JEE Main 2021 (including all categories).

JEE Advanced 2021 Application Form

IIT Kharagpur will release the JEE Advanced application form 2021 on the official website tentatively in May. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2021 before filling the application form. Candidates must ensure to submit their JEE Advanced application form 2021 before the last date. Candidates can check the steps to fill the application form below:

Step-1: JEE Advanced Registration: In the first step, candidates will have to register online at JEE Advanced portal using their JEE Main Application Number and Password. After login, candidates will have to enter additional information.

Step-2: Uploading Documents: Once all the details of the form are entered, candidates will have to upload marks sheets of class 10th and 12th, category certificate (if applicable) and other specified documents as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

Step-3: Payment of Registration Fees: Next, candidates will be required to pay the JEE Advanced registration fee. The details of the fee are provided in the table below:

Step-4: Printing of Confirmation Page: In the last step, candidates have to finally submit their JEE Advanced 2021 application form and take its printout. Students are not required to send the hard copy of the application form to the office.

JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Centres

JEE Advanced 2021 exam centres are the venues where the entrance exam will be conducted. The authorities will conduct the exam in over 160 exam cities. JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Pattern

Candidates must go through the exam pattern of JEE Advanced 2021 before starting their preparation. It will be an online exam with two compulsory papers of 3 hours each. It must be noted that the paper pattern of JEE Advanced varies every year. Candidates can click on the link below to know the JEE Advanced exam pattern. Exam mode: The examination for JEE Advanced 2021 will be conducted via online (computer-based) mode.

Language: The paper will be made available in English or Hindi language.

IIT Kharagpur has released the JEE Advanced syllabus on the official website. Candidates must understand the syllabus of JEE Advanced 2021 beforehand along with the exam pattern. JEE Advanced 2021 Admit Card

Candidates who registered successfully for the exam will only be allowed to download the JEE Advanced 2021 Admit card. The hall ticket will tentatively be released will get released two weeks before the exam. Candidates will need to enter their login credentials to download the JEE Advanced admit card. The admit card will comprise all the details like their name, roll number, exam date, timing, centre, and all other exam instructions. It will be mandatory for all candidates to carry admit cards at the exam centre with one valid ID proof. The same hall ticket will be required for the AAT exam.   • Click on the “Download JEE Advanced 2021 Admit Card” link.
  • On the new page enter registration number, date of birth and mobile number and click on ‘Login”

JEE Advanced 2021 Answer Key

After the commencement of the exam, the authority will release the JEE Advanced 2021 answer key (provisional) tentatively within a week. A separate category-wise merit list will be prepared for the preparatory course. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to estimate their marks before the result declaration. Candidates will be able to check the answer key for both paper-1 and paper-2. It will contain answers to all the questions asked in the question paper. JEE Advanced Result 2021

The authorities will release the result of JEE Advanced 2021 on the official website. Candidates will be able to check their results by logging into the portal using roll number, date of birth, and mobile number. JEE Advanced result will be released in the form of a scorecard mentioning the marks secured by candidates in each subject in both the papers, the rank of a candidate in Common Rank List and All India Rank. A. JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be conducted on July 3.

Q. I appeared in the Class XII examination for the first time in 2020. Am I eligible for JEE Advanced 2021?

A. Yes, you are eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced 2021, provided you also satisfy all other eligibility criteria.

Q. I appeared in the Class 12 board exam in 2019. I neither appeared in JEE Advanced 2019 nor 2020. Am I eligible for JEE Advanced 2021?

A. NO, you are NOT eligible for JEE Advanced 2021. Candidates can appear for the exam in two consecutive years of passing their class 12 exam. However, candidates whose result was declared after June 2019 are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2021.

Q. I have appeared in JEE Main Paper-2. Am I eligible for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) without writing JEE Advanced 2021?

A. No, only the candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced 2021 are eligible for AAT 2021. There is no relation between JEE (Main) Paper-2 and AAT.

Q. I took admission to one of the NITs in 2020. Am I eligible for JEE Advanced 2021?

A. Yes, candidates who have taken admission in NITs in 2020 are eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced 2021, provided they satisfy all other eligibility criteria.

Q. I took admission to a course in IIT based on JEE Advanced 2020. However, I did not continue with the programme, am I eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2021?

A. No, you are not eligible to write JEE Advanced 2021.

Q. I have a problem downloading the JEE Advanced 2021 admit card, what should I do?

A. In case of any problem in downloading the admit card, candidates should immediately contact the Chairman, JEE Advanced 2021 of their respective zonal IIT.

Q. Is writing Paper-1 and Paper-2 in JEE Advanced 2021 compulsory?

A. Yes, both PAPER-1 and PAPER-2 are compulsory. If a candidate misses any of the papers, then the candidate will be considered absent in JEE Advanced 2021.

Q. Can I give the examination in Hindi medium?

A. Yes, you will be able to give the examination in Hindi medium language also.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling.
