KCET is conducted every year for the intake of the suitable candidates to the various courses of Engineering, Technology, BPharma, DPharma, Agriculture courses (Farm Science) and Veterinary. Candidates aspiring admission through KCET 2020 exam should meet the eligibility criteria in order to submit the application form. Karnataka CET 2020 application form was filled untill March 16 and the last date to make payment was March 18. KCET 2020 admit card was released on July 18 for the eligible aspirants.

KCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the required qualification so that they can apply for the KCET exam. It is advised to read the of KCET 2020 notification in detail before filling the application form. If any candidate does not possess the KCET eligibility criteria then they should not submit the form. KEA will not consider the applications of non-eligible candidates. KCET exam eligibility criteria are available below for the reference of the candidates.

  • Only Indian national candidates will get admission to the government seats.
  • For BTech - Passed 2nd pre-university course (PUC) or Class 12 with English and obtained 45% (40% for reserved category) with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
  • For BArch – Passed 2nd pre-university course (PUC) or Class 12 or equivalent and obtained 50% in aggregate and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (45% for reserved category).

KCET 2020 Application Form

The application form window was re-opened from May 08 to May 18 at the official website of KEA, which is cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea not kea.kar.nic.in. Candidates who were eligible had submitted the KCET 2020 online form. The first stage of the application process was KCET Registration. After registration, fill KCET application form, upload photo, signature, and left-hand thumb impression in the format mentioned below.

KEA activated the link of KCET application correction from May 20 to May 22 so that the applicants can modify the details in case they made any mistake while filling the application form.

KCET 2020 Exam Pattern

In KCET 2020 exam, there will be questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Each section will have 60 questions and a candidate will get 80 minutes per section to solve the paper. KEA will conduct the examination in offline mode. One question will carry one mark and there is no provision of negative marking. However, if a candidate marks more than one answer then no marks will be given for such a question. Check the KCET exam pattern below.

KCET 2020 Admit Card

KEA has issued the KCET 2020 hall ticket on July 18 to the eligible candidates only. Aspirants should Download the admit card to sit for the examination. A candidate will be required the application number and password for downloading the admit card of KCET 2020. Check the details available on the KCET exam admit card and if there would be any error, contact the helpline services. Preserve the KCET 2020 admit card till the admission process completes successfully. Carry a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, etc., and a blue/black ballpoint pen along with the admit card at the exam centre.

KCET 2020 Answer Key

After the completion of the examination, KEA will release the KCET official answer key. With the help of the answer key, a candidate  will be able to match the response. It will help them in predicting the marks, rank, college for admission, etc. The answer key of KCET 2020 will release separately for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates can use the official marking scheme and can calculate their marks in the examination.

If any candidate finds any error in the answer key then they can challenge KCET answer key an email of the objected answer along with a documented proof at keauthority-ka@nic.in. First, KEA will publish KCET 2020 provisional answer key and after taking the objections KCET final answer key with the correct resolution will be published.

KCET Result 2020

The result has been published online on August 21 and it carries the subject-wise score, rank, total score, etc. Candidates will be able to check the result of KCET 2020 by using the login credentials. KEA will not share the result either through email or through post. KEA will go for the seat allotment procedure based on the marks secured in the examination. 

KCET Counselling 2020

After the declaration of the KCET 2020 result, KCET counselling will take place. Successful candidates will get the call for appearing in the counselling. Candidates will have to visit the counselling centre and get the documents verified. Then they will get the chance to fill the college preference and course preference. KCET 2020 counselling procedure comprises document verification & registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institutes.
