To understand, the mindset of aspirants, Shiksha conducted a poll asking about their expectations, and around 6000+ students participated. Mid-Score Range Students might have strong competition this year
Around 37% students are expecting score between 100 to 159, this range is tough. These pool of students are mainly targetting decent engineering colleges in Karnataka- including mid-tier government and private institutions. Here's a quick prediction- AI/ML colleges in Karnataka might have higher cutoff this year
Only 9% students are expecting their scores between 160 to 170, which sounds great. These students are full confident to secure admission to top colleges. However, around 10% aspirants are still confused. Also, these pool of applicants are eagerly waiting for results and looking for college predictors to check their chances.
For students who scored less than 100 in KCET we advise to look for colleges that accept low KCET cutoff, or look for branches that have less demand with good career options. Candidates can also look for diploma degree in their desired branches. Alternative options include, getting through management quota or admissions at private universities. However, it is better to do a research on college before counselling.
