What is UPTAC Seat Acceptance Fee?
After each allotment round, candidates who have received a seat must pay a mandatory seat acceptance fee online to hold their allocated seat during UPTAC counselling. The counselling registration fee of INR 1000 is non-refundable. However, the seat confirmation or acceptance deposit (category-wise) below:
- General and OBC category - INR 20000
- SC/ST category - INR 12000
If a candidate wants to stay in the admission process and join the allotted college, this fee is adjusted against the college’s total first-year tuition fee during physical reporting.

- Counselling fee: A non-refundable fee paid at the time of registration to ensure participation
- Seat acceptance fee: A refundable fee paid by the candidate when a seat is allocated and accepted

Important Note:
- In case a candidate has been allocated a seat but does not report as per the schedule, the allotted seat will be considered cancelled, and no refund will be provided for any reason No withdrawal is accepted for students participating in internal sliding and special round counselling.
- UPTAC Round 1 students can opt for the seat acceptance refund policy, but this facility usually opens from Round 2 onwards. A processing fee of INR 1000 will be deducted from the paid amount.
Candidates are advised to track UPTAC counselling dates and apply for withdrawal before the deadline.

Yes, students have to participate in UPTAC Counselling if they want to get admission through the government quota at SRMS IBS. The institute selects students on an entrance + counselling basis mainly. Unless applying through the management quota, counselling is required.
