OJEE Preparation 2024

OJEE preparations must begin at least six months before the exam date. The first important step is to have an organised study plan which incorporates each topic of the syllabus and at the same time gives you enough time for revision and practice. Begin the OJEE preparations with important topics and understanding the fundamentals and basic concepts. You can start with the tougher topics and then move on to the easier ones. Once you have covered the syllabus, try your hands on the sample and practice papers.

It is important for the candidates to attempt at least 20-25 OJEE mock tests which will help them in improving speed and accuracy. It will also help them understand the concepts thoroughly and memorize the formulae easily. Consult the recommended books and study material to prepare better for the OJEE exam.

OJEE Cutoff 2024

OJEE 2024 cutoff will be released online. The OJEE cutoff mentions the opening and closing ranks for various courses. The candidates will be allotted seats according to the scores obtained by them in the OJEE exam 2024. Candidates who match the cutoff will be called for the OJEE counselling procedure.

Check the table below to know the expected OJEE cutoff:

Category Marks
General 690-450
SC 451-327
ST 451-288
OBC 457-454
PH 448-302

Q:   How can I prepare to meet the OJEE cutoff for my desired course?

A:

To prepare for the OJEE cutoff for your desired course, here are some tips that can be helpful:

  1. Understand the OJEE exam pattern and syllabus to know which topics to focus on.
  2. Take as many mock tests as you can to get a feel of the actual exam and to identify your weak areas.
  3. While you should work on your weaknesses, it's also important to capitalize on your strengths.
  4. Revision is crucial for your preparation. Revisit all the topics and practice as many questions as you can.
  5. While the overall cutoff is important, don't forget to focus on sectional cutoffs as well.

By following these tips, you can prepare well and increase your chances of meeting the OJEE cutoff for your desired course. All the best!

Q:   What to do after OJEE cutoffs are released?

A:

Once the OJEE cutoff is released, candidates should verify whether they meet the cutoff criteria for their preferred course and college. If they do, they become eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process.  Candidates should then closely monitor the official OJEE website for announcements regarding counselling schedules and registration. During counselling, they will need to fill in their choices of courses and colleges based on their preferences. It's advisable to list multiple choices to increase the chances of securing admission. Document verification is a crucial step during counselling, requiring candidates to present their OJEE scorecard, academic certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents. Following the counselling process, candidates will receive a provisional seat allotment. They can either accept or reject the allocated seat. If accepted, they must pay the required admission fee or confirm the seat within a specified timeframe.

In some cases, there may be opportunities for upgradation or further rounds of counselling. Candidates should stay informed about these options and participate if desired.

Once a seat is confirmed, candidates should report to the allotted college, complete admission formalities, pay fees, and attend orientation and academic sessions as per the college's schedule. Staying organized, adhering to deadlines, and closely following official communications are essential throughout the admission process to ensure a successful transition into their chosen academic programme.

Q:   Can the OJEE cutoff change from year to year?

A:

Yes, the OJEE cutoff can change from year to year, as it is determined by various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the total number of candidates qualified, and the reserved categories. The cutoff may also vary for each round of counselling. It's best to check the official OJEE website or the participating institutes' websites once the expected cutoffs are released. Each participating college or university may have its own specific criteria for determining cutoffs. Changes in the admission policies or criteria of specific institutions can impact the cutoffs for their courses.
