MHT CET 2026 Dates: The Maharashtra CET cell has announced the MHT CET 2026 exam dates. This year onwards, the MHT CET exam will be conducted in two sessions, similar to the national-level JEE Mains exam. The MHT CET PCM exam date for session 1 is April 11 to 19, 2026 while the PCB exam date is April 21 to 26, 2026. The session 2 exam date for PCB is May 10 to 11, 2026 and for PCM is May 14 to 17, 2026.

MHT CET Application form 2026 will likely be released in December 2025. The application form will be available only online on the MHT CET official website. Candidates interested in applying for the MHT CET 2026 exam can check below the tentative schedule of all events related to the exam.

MHT CET Exam Dates 2026 (Session 1 and 2)

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will release MHT CET application form 2026 on the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. To fill MHT CET application form, candidates have to register at CET portal. After registration, candidates have to complete application form and select CET they want to apply for.

After selecting CET, they can fill choice of exam centre and pay MHT CET application fee. The complete process of MHT CET registration is online. Only those candidates who will complete MHT CET registration as per deadline will be issued MHT CET 2026 admit card to appear in exam.

The MHT CET admit card 2026 is released online on the website cetcell.mahacet.org a few days before the exam. MHT CET 2026 admit card download facility will be through the candidate login facility in the website cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates have to download their MHT CET 2026 admit card by login into the website using their registered email ID and password. 

Details about the MHT CET 2026 exam date and time, address of the exam centre, paper for which appearing, basic details like name, photo and signature will be mentioned in the admit card. Q:   How to raise objections in MHT CET answer key?

The facility to raise objections in MHT CET answer key is opened once the official answer key is released by the CET Cell. Candidates need to login to the official website mahacet.org using their registered email ID and password for raising the objection.

After login, candidates will see the answers to all the questions given and the answer marked by the candidate. If any candidate wish to raise the objection to any official answer, they need to select the respective answer and click on the raise a dispute option. Candidates also have to pay INR 1000 per question as fees for raising the objection.

Q:   Can I raise objection in MHT CET final answer key?

The facility to raise objections is not provided for the final answer key. Candidates are advised to check thoroughly the provisional answer key and raise objections in the provisional key only, if they have any doubt to the answer provided by the CET Cell. The Maharashtra CET cell announces the MHT CET result 2026 on the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates have to log in using their application number and password to check MHT CET result. Details about the percentile score of individual subjects and the aggregate percentile score are mentioned in the scorecard. After the release of the results, the MHT CET merit list is released.

Merit list of MHT CET is prepared considering class 12 marks and CET in 50:50 ratio. The position of candidates in the merit list will be based on marks obtained by adding the MHT CET and class 12 marks. MHT CET Counselling Dates 2026

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell starts the MHT CET 2026 counselling in June. The counselling will be conducted online in three or four rounds. Registration for the counselling will open in June. After registration, CET Cell will release the merit list with details of the All India rank of candidates. The allotment of seats will be done based on the MHT CET merit list. The CET Cell will organise separate counselling for J&K and Ladakh candidates.

Higher and Technical Education department in the year 2023 announced that 50:50 weightage will be given to CET score and Class 12th marks for admission to undergraduate professional courses in Maharashtra state from the academic session 2023-24. As per this criteria, marks of class 12 and MHT CET will be considered for preparing the merit list in 50:50 ratio. Only those candidates who will have their names in the merit list will be considered for admisison.

It is not advised to fill MHT CET application form 2026 using mobiles. If candidates do not have a laptop/computer, they can visit the computer centres in market for filling the MHT CET 2026 application form. Students can take help of online tutorials and videos from previous year toppers who have cleared the exam without coaching to understand their strategy. One thing that is required when students are not taking coaching is regular study.

Make a daily time table of study and devote at least 5-6 hours for MHT CET preparation. Students who are in class 11 or 12 can give 3-4 hours specifically for CET beside school studies. Students who have passed class 12 should also study at least 6 hours daily.
