MHT CET percentile marks converter 2026 details are available on this page. Candidates who want to appear for MHT CET 2026 and are curious about how MHT CET marks get converted to percentile can check this article below.
MHT CET Percentile Marks Converter 2026: There is no exact formula that a candidate can use to convert their MHT CET marks into a percentile. This is because a percentile is a relative value, unlike a percentage. The Maharashtra State CET cell does provide the formula that they use to calculate the MHT CET percentile score. But there are some variables of the formula that are not available for us to calculate the percentile out of the raw scores. For example, the number of candidates appearing in your shift who have lower marks than you will not be known to you. Neither will you have the total number of candidates who appeared in your shift. These variables are necessary for the MHT CET percentile marks converter 2026.
Note that from 2026 onwards, MHT CET 2026 will be held twice a year. It is likely that the best percentile score of the candidates who appear in both sessions will be used for admission. More details on the MHT CET 2026 result preparation and percentile calculation for the two sessions of the exams will be available soon at cetcell.mahacet.org.

What is MHT CET Percentile 2026?
Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all the candidates who appear for the MHT CET exam. Basically, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for the whole examination conducted in a single shift using a single question paper for all the candidates.
The MHT CET percentile score indicates the percentage of the candidates who have appeared for MHT CET and who have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) in that examination. Therefore, the topper (highest score) of MHT CET in each shift will get the same Percentile of 100.
Commonly asked questions
For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.
Students should note that the above mentioned percentile is only valid for the General HS category in the last round. Other rounds and categories will have different minimum qualifying percentiles. To know more, students can click here.
With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.
With 120 marks in MHT-CET (General category), you are unlikely to get top colleges/branches (like CSE/IT in COEP, VJTI) but can aim for mid-tier private/university-affiliated colleges in less competitive branches.
With 63.57% in MHT CET, you do have a fair chance to get B.Tech in Fashion Technology at D.K.T.E. Institute, especially if you're in a reserved category or from the home state. Fill it in your CAP options and keep backup colleges too, just in case the cutoffs go higher this year
