IBPS Clerk Notification 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the detailed IBPS Clerk notification on July 31, 2025. The short notice was released on July 29, 2025. A total of 10277 Customer Service Associates (CSA) vacancies were announced. IBPS Clerk application form was made available from August 1 to 28, 2025. IBPS Clerk notification is released in PDF form and comprises the important details related to the exam. Candidates must read the notification before applying for the exam. To be eligible for IBPS Clerk exam, candidates must be graduates.

IBPS Clerk exam dates have been revised. The prelims exam of IBPS Clerk 2025 was conducted on October 4, 5. The mains exam will be conducted on November 29, 2025. Read below for more details on the IBPS Clerk 2025 notification.

IBPS Clerk Application Form 2025

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are required to apply online from the official website. Application fees can be submitted online. Check below the process to fill IBPS Clerk application form:

  1. Visit the official website of IBPS
  2. Click the ‘New Registration’ link
  3. Enter the required details to register
  4. Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, and Left Thumb Impression (LTI)
  5. Candidates are also required to upload IBPS Clerk handwritten declaration
  6. Fill in the educational details, work experiences, preference of banks, exam city, etc.
  7. Preview IBPS Clerk application form to verify the details
  8. Submit the application form and proceed towards paying the exam fees
  9. The application fees are INR 850 for General and OBC candidates, while it is INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD candidates
  10. Take printout of the application form and fee receipt

Q:   I am unable to upload the photograph and signature while filling IBPS Clerk application form. What to do?
A: 
While, filling IBPS Clerk application form, candidates need to upload their photographs, signatures, handwritten declarations, left thumb impressions, etc. The documents should be uploaded as per the dimensions specified by the examination authority. Candidates must upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed format while filling IBPS Clerk application form. The size of the photograph should be between 20 kb to 50 kb and its dimension should be between 200 x 230 pixels. The size of the signature should between 10kb to 20kb and dimension should be between 140 x 60 pixels. The signature should not be in capital letters. It should be in appropriate size and clearly visible. Candidates must ensure that the size of the scanned image of photograph should not be more than 50 kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no of colours, etc. during the process of scanning.

IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria are prescribed by IBPS in terms of age limit, educational qualification, nationality, etc. The Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerk are given below:

The selection process of IBPS Clerk includes preliminary and Mains exams. The final selection is done based on the Mains exam. The prelims exam marks are not counted for the merit list. The public sector banks in India offer lucrative salaries to Clerical cadre posts along with various perks, incentives and benefits. Therefore, the in-hand salary of an IBPS Clerk may range between INR 28,000 to 30,000 per month. The following allowances are offered to IBPS Clerk: Dearness Allowance: This component is 4 per cent of the Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised after every three months. House Rent Allowance: The HRA is dependent on the location of the posting. It is 8.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for cities having a population of more than 5 Lacs, and 6.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for other cities. Travel Allowance: The official tours and travels will be reimbursed by the bank. Medical Allowance: For IBPS Clerks, the amount is fixed at INR 2000. Medical allowance is provided once in a year. Special Allowance: For IBPS Clerk this amount is fixed at INR 4118.

Q:   Is IBPS Clerk a permanent job?

IBPS Clerk is a permanent job. All candidates selected for IBPS Clerk exam will be on a probation period of six months. After this period, candidates are confirmed as permanent employees only after an assessment through a test or review of their performance in the probation period. Candidates for the post of IBPS Clerk is selected based on the performance in the Mains exam. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. IBPS Clerk prelims exam pattern is such that it is divided into three sections-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam comprises General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.

IBPS Clerk cannot be internally recruited as a Probationary Officer since POs are directly recruited.
