Candidates are advised to submit only one IBPS Clerk application form. In case of multiple applications, the latest submitted application which is complete in all respect is considered for the recruitment process. 

Knowlege of computers is necessary for IBPS Clerk. The age limit is between 20 and 28 years. The educational qualification is graduation.

Final-year students cannot apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam. Candidates need to have graduation mark sheet on the date of application. As per the notification, the minimum qualification require candidates to have a graduation degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Candidates between 20 and 28 Years can apply for the IBPS Clerk post. 

Yes, there are sectional timings in IBPS Clerk exam. In prelims exam, candidates will get 20 minutes to answer each section. In the Mains exam, 35 minutes each will be given to answer questions from General/Financial Awareness, General English and 45 minutes each will be given to attempt Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and Quantitative Aptitude questions. IBPS Clerk exam pattern two parts-prelims and mains. The prelims test comprises three sections and carries 100 marks. The Mains comprises four sections and carries 200 marks.

IBPS Clerk prelims syllabus comprises topics from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. IBPS Clerk syllabus of Mains exam is divided into four sections: Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General/ Financial Awareness. English Language: Reading Comprehension, Error Detection/ Sentence Correction, Fill in the Blanks, Error Correction, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test.

Reasoning: Inequality, Seating Arrangement, Alphanumeric Series, Miscellaneous, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Data Sufficiency,

A total of 15701 vacancies were announced for IBPS Clerk 2025 recruitment. The state-wise vacancy break-up is given below.

The selection process of IBPS Clerk includes preliminary and Mains exams. The final selection is done based on the Mains exam. The prelims exam marks are not counted for the merit list. Candidates selected through IBPS Clerk exam will be recruited to the 11 participating public sector banks in India. Candidates can ace the exam with good preparation.

IBPS Clerk is a permanent job. All candidates selected for IBPS Clerk exam will be on a probation period of six months. After this period, candidates are confirmed as permanent employees only after an assessment through a test or review of their performance in the probation period. Candidates for the post of IBPS Clerk is selected based on the performance in the Mains exam. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. IBPS Clerk prelims exam pattern is such that it is divided into three sections-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam comprises General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.

Selected candidates will get a salary amount only after a few deductions, called in-hand salary. The In-hand salary for the Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III cities is different. For example, if you are posted in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, your in-hand salary amount would be slightly more than others. The In-hand salary given will be inclusive of allowances as per the 7th pay commission.

IBPS Clerk cannot be internally recruited as a Probationary Officer since POs are directly recruited. However, clerks can shift to the officer cadre as TOs (Trainee Officers) or JMGS-1 (Junior Management Grade Officer Scale -1). Candidates are directly recruited as Clerks and Officers, after their respective exams and interviews.

IBPS Clerk exam is conducted every year. The exam is conducted to select candidates for Clerical cadre post in 11 public sector banks. The selection process comprises prelims exam and Mains exam. The interview is not conducted for this post. The final is done based on the Mains exam.

The initial basic pay of IBPS Clerk is INR 19,900 with increment of INR 1000 for three years. The basic pay of IBPS Clerk is INR 20,900 with a yearly increment of INR 1230. The basic pay of IBPS Clerk is INR 24,590 with increment of INR 1490. The basic pay is INR 30,550 with increment of INR 1730. The basic pay of IBPS Clerk is INR 42,600 with increment of INR 3270. 

Candidates are offered promotions as per their performance. After becoming PO, there are seven scales in the officer cadre. The post-wise hierarchy is given below: Scale 1-Officer / Assistant Manager Scale 2-Manager Scale 3-Senior Manager Scale 4-Chief Manager Scale 5-Asst. General Manager Scale 6-Deputy General Manager Scale 7-General Manager.

The dearness allowance offered to IBPS Clerk is given below:

• DA is 4 percent of the IBPS Clerk Basic Pay.
• DA depends on the CPI and is revised quarterly, which is after every three months.
• The Dearness Allowance would be INR 5,209

IBPS Clerk is an entry-level post. This post offers a lot of learning and opportunities. They are asked to verify documents and proofs submitted by customers. They also maintain cash and Demand Drafts. Recruitment is done as per selection process.

IBPS Clerk normalisation is applied in the calculation of cut off. This process is followed to adjust the difficulty level of question asked in the exam. The cut off for the Mains and prelims exams are calculated based on the normalised marks.

For correct answer, one mark is awarded. For incorrect answers, 0.25 marks are deducted The score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. 

IBPS Clerk cut off for the prelims exam is calculated out of 100. The Mains exam cut off is calculated after normalising the marks out of 100. The cut off is applied on overall/state-wise cutoff marks and sectional cut off.
