RPF SI Eligibility Criteria 2024 has been prescribed by the Ministry of Railways in terms of age, educational qualification, nationality and physical standards. Candidates need to fulfil the prescribed conditions to be eligible for the RPF SI Recruitment. According to RPF SI eligibility criteria, any graduate male and female candidates can apply for the exam. Candidates should be physically fit to be eligible for the post. Selection of candidates through the RPF SI exam is done based on the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV). RPF SI Eligibility Criteria 2024: Nationality

Candidates must be a citizen of India. Candidates in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the exam but the offer of appointment will be given only after the Indian Government has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him.

RPF SI Educational Qualification 2024

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Candidates whose results of the final examination is awaited need not apply for the exam.

Can 12th pass apply for RPF SI?

To be eligible for the RPF SI exam, candidates must have passed graduation as well as Class 12. Those who have passed only Class 12 are not eligible to apply for the exam. Those who are in their final year of graduation are not eligible to appear for the exam.

RPF SI Age Limit 2024

The maximum age limit for the RPF SI exam is 28 years while the minimum age limit is 20 years.

RPF SI 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Reservation

The reservation policy in RPF SI exam is given below:

• All candidates irrespective of their category are considered against UR vacancies, subject to their fulfilling the parameters laid down for UR candidates
• The vacancies provided for specific communities (SC/ST/OBC-NCL), candidates belonging to that category only will be considered
• For availing reservation, SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates should provide relevant documents and caste certificate from the competent authorities
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL who fulfils the required educational qualification can apply against UR vacancies. They will have to compete with the UR candidates and will not be eligible for any relaxation including age to such SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying against UR vacancies
• Such candidates are required to indicate their actual category in the RPF SI application form.

RPF SI Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Servicemen

• The term Ex-serviceman means a person who has served in any rank (whether as a Combatant or Non-Combatant) in the regular Army, Navy or Air Force of the
  Indian Union but does not include a person who has served in the Defence Security Crops., the General Reserve Engineering Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the Para Military Forces.
• Persons serving in the Armed Forces of the union, who on retirement from service would come under the category of Ex-servicemen, are eligible to apply for reemployment one year before the completion of the specific terms of engagement and avail themselves of all concessions available to Ex-Servicemen but such persons shall not be permitted to leave the uniform until they complete the specific terms of engagement in the Armed Forces of the Union. Candidates must have completed minimum six months of continuous service after attestation to be treated as ESM.
• Ex-servicemen candidates who have already secured civil employment under Central Government in Group C & D after availing of the benefits given to ExServicemen will be permitted only the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for Ex-servicemen for securing another civil employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group C/D under Central Government. Such candidates will not be considered against the vacancies reserved for Ex-servicemen in the Central Government jobs.
• If an Ex-servicemen applies for various vacancies before joining any Civil employment, he/she can avail the benefit of reservation as Ex-Serviceman for any subsequent employment, subject to the condition that an Ex-Serviceman, as soon as he joins any Civil employment, should give self declaration/undertaking to the concerned employer about the details of application against the employment notice. The acknowledged copy of this declaration along with NOC from the Civil employer should be produced during DV failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled. Further, this benefit would be available only in respect of vacancies which are filled on direct recruitment and wherever reservation is applicable to the Ex-Servicemen.
• Definition of 'Ex-servicemen' does not include retired/discharged personnel of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Central Police Organisations (CPOs). Candidates applying against Ex-servicemen category should produce all documentary proofs including Category Certificates in the prescribed format during Document Verification (DV).

RPF SI Application Form

RPF SI application form is released online for recruitment of male and female candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector. Candidates are required to fill only one application form. RPF SI application fee for RPF SI is INR 500 for unreserved categories while it is INR 250 for reserved categories.

RPF SI Salary 

The basic RPF SI salary is INR 35,400. The gross RPF SI salary ranges between INR 43,000-Rs 52,000. Candidates are also entitled to various perks, benefits, and allowances. Selected candidates will have to undergo rigorous initial training in any one of the RPF/RPSF training centre or any other such institution as decided by the Railway Administration. The trainee recruits/cadets will be given a stipend of INR 35,400 plus other allowances as admissible under the Railway Rules during the period of training. Candidates need to pass the final examination at the end of the training and before the final appointment.
