
RPF SI Notification 2025: The Ministry of Railways will soon release the RPF SI 2025 notification to invite applications for the post of Sub-Inspectors (SI). The recruitment will be open for both male and female candidates. Candidates can apply for the RPF SI exam if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. RPF SI Recruitment is done for Groups A, B, C, D, E & F. Selection of candidates is done based on these rounds- Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV). The RPF SI salary per month is INR 43300-52030 (Level 6 of 7th CPC).

RPF SI application form can be rejected due to Invalid photos , Multiple applications, Incomplete application, Age. The application form can be filled online only. The last date to fill the application form is given by the exam body.
RPF SI 2025 Vacancies and Salary
The number of RRB RPF SI vacancy will be announced along with the short notification. The initial pay is INR 35,400 along with other allowances. The RPF SI vacancies announced in 2024 were 452.

According to the 6th Pay Commission recommendations, the grade pay assigned to RPF SI was INR 4200. With this grade pay, the salary was calculated in the pay band of INR 9300-34800. However, after the implementation of 7th Pay Commission, the grade pay system was discontinued. Now, the RPF SI starts at the basic pay level of INR 35400 (Level-6) as per 7th CPC pay matrix.
The gross salary of an RPF Sub Inspector ranges from INR 43,000 to 52,000 depending upon their place of posting. This inclusive salary amount comprises basic pay, grade pay, DA, HRA and other applicable allowances. As basic pay is INR 35,400 according to 7th CPC pay matrix, the other allowances add up substantially to the CTC.

RPF SI exam pattern is such that it comprises CBT 1, PET/PMT, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The CBT comprises three sections. The standard of questions is of graduation-level. Each question carries one mark and there is also negative marks. Candidates are required to obtain 35 per cent marks (30 per cent marks by SC and ST candidates) to qualify the CBT. Questions in the test are asked from General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The test carries a total of 120 marks. PET is qualifying in nature and candidates are given different tasks.
