RRB Group D recruitment 2025: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) released RRB Group D 2025 recruitment notification to fill up a total of 32,438 vacancies. RRB Group D 2025 recruitment notification was released in PDF form and comprised the details related to the exam. RRB Group D 2025 application form was released on January 23, 2025. The last date to fill RRB Group D application form 2025 was March 1, 2025. To apply for RRB Group D exam, candidates need to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

RRB Group D exam dates 2025 will be announced soon. Selected candidates of RRB Group D 2025 exam are entitled to a basic salary of INR 18000. Read below to know more on RRB Group D recruitment 2025.

RRB Group D Registration

Registrations for the RRB Group D exam can be done online only. Application fees can be paid both online and offline. According to RRB Group D eligibility,  Candidates who have completed Class 10 and are between 18 to 33 years can apply for the exam. The steps to fill RRB Group D application form are given below:

  • Visit the official website of RRBs
  • Click on the ‘RRB Group D New Registration’ link
  • Enter details such as name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID and then submit the registration form
  •  Registration number and password are generated
  • In Part I candidates need to fill the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation and other details
  • In Part II enter the priority/preference of the RRB Group D posts
  • Pay the application fees either online or offline
  • Choose the exam languages
  • Fill details of photo ID card
  • Enter bank details for a fee refund
  • Upload scanned iphotograph, signature and category certificate for SC/ST candidates

Yes, candidates can change their states in the RRB Group D exam. This can be done by first choosing 'Application Modification' which is available in the home page of the registration portal. After candidates have chosen the preferred state, they need to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 100 for modifying the application. Once candidates have successfully paid the application fee they can make the necessary changes and then submit it. Please note that candidates will not be able to edit your registration number, email id, mobile number, and your zone. Candidates are required to fill the application form online. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2025

RRB Group D exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam. Going through the exam pattern, candidates can know about the marking scheme, total marks, exam duration, etc. The stage-wise RRB Group D exam pattern is explained below.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern for CBT

This stage is divided into four sections-General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the test is 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by the scribe). There are negative marks of 1/3 for wrong answers. RRB Group D Exam Pattern for PET/PST

Candidates qualifying the CBT are called for PET. The structure of PET/PST is given below.

Male candidates Female candidates/Transgender candidates

Candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight

Female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kgs of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight
Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in four minutes and 15 seconds in one chance Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in five minutes and 40 seconds in one chance

RRB Group D Exam Pattern for Document Verification & Medical Exam

Candidates qualifying the PET are called for document verification. Shortlisted candidates of document verification are sent for medical exam. Visual acuity standard is one of the important criteria of the medical fitness of railway staff. RRB Group D medical standards are given below.

Q:   Is there any qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam?
A: 

Yes, there are qualifying marks in RRB Group D exam. The qualifying marks for your and EWS categories are 40 and 30 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, and ST. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2 per cent for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them. Besides the cut off marks, candidates are required to secure the qualifying as per their categories to qualify the exam. For each correct answer in RRB Group D exam, candidates score one mark. 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers. The category-wise RRB Group D qualifying marks is given below.

RRB Group D Salary

The in-hand salary of RRB Group D ranges between INR 22,000 to 25,000 per month. The basic pay of RRB Group D is INR 18,000 according to the 7th Pay Commission. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria. The letter of appointment is issued by the Railway Administrations. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. It may also be noted that all candidates successful in DV are sent for Medical Examination. Clearing of such Medical Examination by additional candidates (those called for DV beyond the notified number of vacancies) will give such candidates no right to be considered for appointment. Candidates may note that RRBs/RRCs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.
