M.Arch admissions are basically based on entrance exams like CEED and GATE although some colleges may also conduct their own tests or consider a portfolio and interview. Important national level exams are CEED, which focuses on the design programs and GATE, which covers engineering and technology having architecture.

GATE Architecture & Planning (AR)

The syllabus includes Architecture and Design, Building Materials, Construction and Management, Environmental Planning and Design, Urban Design, Planning Techniques and Management, Services, Infrastructure, and Planning Legislation. Mathematics and logical reasoning are also tested.

CEED (for M.Des & some M.Arch)

CEED tests Design Aptitude, Visual and Spatial Ability, Environmental and Social Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Creativity, Communication Skills, and Drawing. Part B includes sketching, creative use of form, and problem-solving.

MAH MArch CET

Karnataka PGCET
