Mathematical Ability section of TSICET exam is divided into three sub sections, namely Arithmetical Ability, Algebraical and Geometrical Ability and Statistical Ability. These sections have a question weightage of 35:30:10. Since there is no negative marking, candidates must attempt all questions. In the speed-based test, one must aim to answer the questions as soon as possible. Coming to TSICET, a test taker has to answer each question in less than 45 seconds to complete the exam on time. To score high in TSICET candidates will have to work on their speed as well as accuracy. Speed and accuracy can be improved by practising previous years papers and mock tests. While answering questions, candidates must not stick on one question for more than 40 seconds. After answering all the questions in 40 seconds or less, candidates will still have five to ten minutes to review the responses.

Candidates can start preparing using the TSICET mock tests once they have completed the syllabus for all three sections of the exam. However, several candidates find practising mock tests, after every section is completed, useful. Candidates must find the mock test approach that suits their preparation strategy. After solving each mock test, candidates must revisit the study material to improve where they lag. Before taking the second mock test, candidates must have revised the topics where they were stuck in the previous mock test.

TSICET preparation must take at least two months of time if the candidate has already prepared for any other MBA entrance exam. However, if the candidate is starting the MBA prep journey with the TSICET exam, then the ideal time for preparation must be at least six months before the exam date. Candidates aspiring to qualify for Telangana MBA Admission must pass the TSICET exam. Candidates starting early to prepare for the TSICET exam will have time to prepare at ease. However, the reservation benefits can vary for all categories. Admission authorities at TSICET participating colleges prepare the cutoff list for MBA Admission. However, the cutoff scores are not released before the admission process. TSCHE releases the last rank statement with MBA Admission details of the subsequent session. TSICET last rank statement 2022 is released along with the TSICET 2023 counselling details. TSICET cutoff is determined considering multiple factors. The factors determining the TSICET cutoff marks include - Difficulty level of exam - Previous cutoff trends - Number of test takers - Reservation criteria - Number of seat available for admission Overall TSICET cutoff ranks are determines based on the above factors. Any additional factor can arise that may affect the TSICET last ranks.

A good score in TSICET depends on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, and the number of seats available for admission. However, if the previous year's trends are to be considered, scoring above 90 to 100 marks out of a total of 200 is considered a good score in TSICET. Candidates must note that the cutoff score for TSICET varies for different colleges and universities. Additionally, a good score can vary across categories. TG ICET counselling is administered in two phases, i.e. the first phase and the final phase. Candidates eligible for the final phase include the following

• those who secured a seat in the first phase of Telangana ICET counselling but do not wish to join
• those who did not secure a seat but had their certificates verified
• those who skipped option entry earlier but had certificates verified
• those satisfied with their seat but seeking a better option

Other eligible candidates as per the TS ICET final phase counselling notification can also participate in the final phase of the counselling process.

No, options exercised in the first phase are not carried forward to the final phase. Candidates participating in the TG ICET counselling process are required to submit fresh options for the final phase of TS ICET counselling for MBA and MCA admissions. If no new options are submitted, the candidate will not be considered for the seat allotment in the final phase of ICET counselling. The option entry process under the final phase counselling remains the same as the TG ICET first phase option entry round.

TGCHE conducts the TS ICET counselling in two or more phases. If a candidate is allotted a new seat in the final phase of the TG ICET counselling, their first-phase seat is automatically cancelled. The candidate cannot claim the earlier allotment after the final phase result is declared. This rule applies even if the first-phase seat was confirmed earlier.

Therefore, candidates must participate in the final phase of the TG ICET counselling only when they are not satisfied with their allotment from the first round.
