
NIFT is all set to conduct the counselling for UG and PG programmes. It has announced the schedule for Seat Allocation and e-counselling. Read in detail to know more.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has officially announced the schedule for seat allocation and e-counselling for Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions for 2025. Candidates who have secured a valid Common Merit Rank (CMR) in the final result must register between June 24 and July 1, 2025, on the official NIFT counselling portal: https://nift.admissions.nic.in.
To participate in the counselling process, registration by 12:00 midnight on July 1, 2025, is mandatory. After registering, candidates must submit their preferences for academic programmes by 12:00 midnight on July 4, 2025.
Candidates are strongly advised to:

Upload self-attested documents in PDF format as required for their programme.

Only registered candidates will be allowed to take part in the seat allocation and counselling rounds. Therefore, timely registration and accurate document submission are essential to secure admission.
Stay updated via the official portal and complete all required steps within the given deadlines to avoid disqualification from the NIFT 2025 admission process.
To register for NIFT 2025 counseling, the candidate had to pay a registration fee of INR 9,300.
However, the candidate is not required to pay any fee to select preferences.
The candidate will have to pay a seat-acceptance fee of INR 1,83,200 only if he or she has been allocated a seat. The seat-acceptance fee has to be paid online before the given deadline. Note that if the payment is not done within the given deadline, then the allocated seat will be cancelled and will be allocated to the next candidate in the order of merit.
The seat allotment for NIFT 2025 will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and preference opted during counseling registration.
Seat Withdrawal Policy:
The candidate who are allotted seats between Round 1 and 4 will be able to withdraw their seats.
If the candidate withdraws their seats, only the security deposit will be refunded.
There is no withdrawal option for the SPOT round.
