NTA released the NIFT Provisional Answer Key for NIFT Stage 1 today, on February 17, 2026. It is released on NTA NIFT website: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. NTA released the Answer Key for GAT section only. No answer key is released for NIFT CAT. NTA allows candidates to raise objections online against the Provisional Answer Key by making a payment of ₹ 200/- per challenged question. Application ID and Password is required to view the Answer Key. NIFT Objection Window is open from February 17, 2026 to February 19, 2026.

NIFT 2026 final answer key will be made on the basis of the provisional answer key. Candidates cannot challenge the Final Answer Key. The NIFT 2026 result will be released on the basis of the Final Answer key in April 2026.

How to download the NIFT GAT Answer Key?
Candidates can easily download the NTA NIFT 2026 Answer Key by following these steps.

- Roll Number

- The answer key will be displayed on your screen.

NIFT GAT 2026 answer key will contain the official keys to all the questions asked in the entrance exam. Answer key will be released for each booklet series. - Go to the NIFT 2026 website
- Click on the link to download the response sheet.
- Log in using your registration number and password.
- After logging in, the response sheet will appear on the screen.
What is NIFTEE 2026 Objection Window?
During NIFTEE Objection window, candidates review the provisional answer key and raise any discrepancies they have in the objective section of the exam. Each objection required an online fee of ₹200 per question, which is non-refundable, and candidates have to provide valid supporting evidence for their claims.

The OMR sheet can be used by the candidate in conjunction with the GAT answer key to check the status of the answers (correct or incorrect). Next the candidate can use the official marking scheme to calculate probable score.

Click on the objection submission link
A log-in window will open
Log in using candidate credentials
Once you log in, you can access the objection form
Enter you roll number, date of birth, program, and question booklet series
Select the answer key you want to challengeSelect the Question number
Attach the supporting documents and describe your observation in concise and clear terms
Make the payment of INR 200 per objection (note, the fee is non-refundable)
Once you are done, submit the application.

How to raise objections using the NIFT Answer Key?
- Go to the NTA NIFT website
- Login with your Application Number, Password and enter the Security Pin and click on the Login Button.
- Click the View/Challenge Answer Key button.
- The Option(s) next to the Question ID under the column ‘Correct Option(s)’ stand for the most appropriate Answer Key to be used by NTA.
- If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Options given in the next five columns by clicking the check box
- You may want to upload supporting documents, in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents are to be put in a single pdf file).
- After clicking on your desired Option(s) ID for Challenge, scroll down and click on ‘Submit and Review Claims’ and move to the next screen. You must make sure to select all the required options(s) before moving further.
- You will see a display of all the Question ID and Option(s) you have challenged. You may still modify your selection by clicking on ‘Modify Claim’. Once you have selected all the Option(s) ID for Challenge, you can click on ‘Save Claim and Pay Fee’.
- Click on ‘Save Claim and Pay Fee’ to select payment options. No modification will be allowed after payment.
- Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a non-refundable processing fee.
NIFT Marking Scheme for GAT 2026

- Each question carries 01 (One) mark.
- For each correct response, the candidate will get 01 (One) mark.
- For each incorrect response, -0.25 mark will be deducted from the total score.
- Unanswered/un-attempted will be given no marks.
- To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct option.
- However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.
- In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

There is no fixed number of mock tests one should take before the NIFT Entrance Exam. A candidate should take at least one mock test daily for the NIFT Entrance Preparation. 10-15 mock tests will really help in preparing for the exam.
