How are the TS POLYCET marks calculated?

The marking sheme of the exam is used to calculate the TS POLYCET score for result. Each correct answers will fetch the candidates 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for the wrong answers. Two separate Ranks are generated for each candidate through POLYCET for Admissions into Polytechnics and Admissions into Agricultural Diplomas & Veterinary & Horticultural Diplomas as per the following criteria: MPC Rank will be issued to students who desire to take admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics affiliated to SBTET. MBiPC Rank will be issued to the students who desires to take admission into courses offered by PJTSAU, SKLTSHU, and PVNRTVU Diploma Courses based on marks obtained in Math’s, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Yes there is. Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking by obtaining minimum one (01) mark in the entrance test. Such candidates with less than 30% marks in POLYCET shall be eligible to compete for their category of seats during the admission. The marks obtained at the entrance test shall be considered for the purpose of assigning rank, on the basis of which, selection shall be made for admission in toDiplomacourses.

Which colleges accept TS POLYCET scores?

TS POLYCET scores will be accepted by Government, Government-Aided, Private Un-Aided Polytechnics, and Polytechnics run in existing Private Un-Aided Engineering Colleges in Telangana State. Agriculture colleges that will accept TS POLYCET scores include Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) both University and affiliated Polytechnics in the Telangana State. Also, SRI KONDA LAXMAN TELANGANA STATE HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY (SKLTSHU) both University and affiliated Polytechnics in the Telangana State will accept TS POLYCET scores. P V Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) in Telangana State will also accept TS POLYCET scores.

If still tie persists, the rank may be resolved by seniority based on the Date of Birth of the candidates. Agricultural Polytechnics of Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad and Veterinary Polytechnics of PVNR TVU, Hyderabad the ranks will be given in preferential order of marks secured in Biology, Physics, Chemistry If still, the tie persists, the rank may be resolved by seniority based on the Date of Birth of the candidates. While resolving the tie based on the Date of birth as entered in the S.S.C. Certificate of the Candidate, a candidate born earlier will be deemed to have obtained better rank. In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie.

How is the TS POLYCET Result 2026 Prepared?

The TS POLYCET result is based on the marks scored by the candidates in the state-level entrance exam. Candidates are ranked based on the marks they score in the test. Based on the TS POLYCET rank, candidates are called for admission via online counselling. Two separate ranks will be generated for MPC (120 Marks) and the MBiPC ranks will be generated by scaling down the Maths marks to 30.

For MPC: The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed the Entrance examination shall be 30% (36 marks out of 120). Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking by obtaining a minimum of one (01) mark in the entrance test.
For MBiPC: The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed the Entrance examination shall be 30% i.e., 36 marks in Maths (60/2), Biology, Physics and Chemistry put together. Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking by obtaining a minimum of one (01) mark in the entrance test.

Tie-Breaking in TS POLYCET 2026

For MPC: In case of a tie, the marks in the below-mentioned subjects in TS POLYCET in the given order are considered for resolving the tie.

In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying test is to be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie.

For MBiPC: In case of a tie in rank in TS POLYCET the marks in these subjects in TS POLYCET in the exact order as given below are considered for resolving the tie.

In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has a higher percentage in the qualifying exam will be given a higher rank.

What After TS POLYCET Result 2026?

After the declaration of TS POLYCET result, the Department of Technical Education will release the counselling details. TS POLYCET counselling will be conducted in online mode. Note that the candidates have to appear for the online counselling process for admission to the Courses offered by SBTET.
