JMI Application Form 2026: Registration (OPEN), Date, Fees & How to Apply

Students wishing to study their desired UG, PG, Diploma, or Phd course offered by Jamia Milia Islamia through JMI entrance exam must register themselves for the test. The JMI application form 2026 is available online at its official website. Before filling online form, candidates must make sure they are eligible for admission by checking the JMI eligbility criteria to be shared in JMI 2026-27 admission prospectus.

There are two phases to the online form submission. 

Phase 1: Candidate's Registration: Entering all the basic details 

1. Open JMI official website - admission.jmi.ac.in
2. On the right side of the screen, there will be a registration box
3. Click on New Registration button and enter required details
4. After entering all details, click on Sign up

Note - Before signing up, make sure that all the information that you put in is correct. Once the application is submitted you will receive one confirmation Email/ SMS. It will contain an OTP, an activation link and login details. Open your email account and click on the activation link or go to the login page of the official website to complete the registration process and start filling up your online form. 

Phase 2: Entrance Application Submission: Choose your desired Program(s), fill in the personal, category and academic details, upload the academic documents, and submit the application fee.

JMI Photo and Signature Specifications

Applicants are required to upload all the required documents in the file specifications predecided by the exam body. Files with specifications other than these will not be accepted on the online application portal.

Jamia Millia Islamia prescribes the eligibility requirements that an applicant must fulfill to appear for the entrance exam and be eligible for the counselling & admission process.  Check here to know the JMI eligibility criteria for different courses.

JMI Eligibility Criteria 2026: Other Courses

• BTech: merit based on the final ranks of candidates in JEE Main
• BArch: merit based on the final ranks of candidates in NATA
• BDS: merit in NEET

To successfully apply for Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam, applicants have to submit some documents in their JMI online form. Aspirants wanting to secure a seat at the university based on JMI scores must check the list of documents required while filling out JMI application form.

• Valid E-mail ID
• Active Mobile Number
• Scanned Photograph
• Scanned Signature
• Credit card, Net Banking details or ATM/ Debit Card

Note - Candidates whose results for the qualifying examinations are yet to be announced can also apply, but applicants are advised to submit the required certificates to be eligible for the exam.

Note: The application fee can be paid via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. The application fee once received successfully at JMI's end is non-refundable.

After the JMI application window for new registration closes, Jamia Millia Islamia opens the correction window. It allows candidates to edit their online form. Candidates who have already filled out their forms can edit their details by clicking on the correction window link, which is to be shared on official website. Candidates can access the window by logging in using their JMI login credentials - JMI16XXXXXXXX and password (Date of Birth DD/MM/YYYY). 

Candidates who have successfully applied and whose payment for the course(s) has been received will be able to log in. After logging in, candidates will be able to see three tabs - Candidate Registration, Edit Registration Data and Edit Application Form.

Note - To edit these details, candidates will have to drop a email at admission@jmi.ac.in. Apart from the above, candidates can edit all the other details. 

Candidates must note that details once edited cannot be edited again.

After a candidate completes JMI entrance exam 2026 application process by submitting the online form, they have to make sure they have the following information saved with them.

• Printout and soft copy of JMI 2026 Application Confirmation Page
• JMI Login 2026 (Application Number and Password)
• JMI application fee transaction receipt (for the safe side)
• Documents uploaded in JMI 2026 application form

Once JMI online form is submitted, candidates must ensure they have added all accurate details and if they find any detail that needs correction or change, they must make a list of the same to take required action during JMI application correction window.

JMI 2026 Admit Card

Registered candidates can download their JMI admit card 2026 on April 17, 2026. Candidates must know that hall ticket is a mandatory document and must be carried by students to their exam hall. No entry is allowed to a registered candidate who does not bring their JMI hall ticket. To download admit card for JMI 2026, candidates have to enter their login credentials created during JMI registration.
