CTET February 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to decalre the February session result for the CTET 2026 exam. It will be announced at ctet.nic.in. Candidates will be able to downlaod their CTET Result by using their login credentials including the application number and date of birth. A direct link to downlaod the CTET result will also be updated here once it is released. The CTET Answer Key was released on March 12 and the last date to raise an objection was March 15. The CTET exam for the 21st Edition was held on February 7 and 8. Also, the re-exam was condcuted at Bihar two centres that was postponed on February 7 for Paper 2. It was held on March 1.

The CTET Exam 2026 was held offlne as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE). The CTET notification was released on November 27. The application dates were November 27 to December 18. The CBSE CTET exam is of national-level importance. It is conducted twice every year. It is a mandatory eligibility criterion for aspirants who want to apply for teacher recruitment in central government schools, such as KVS and NVS, for Classes 1 to 8.

CTET Certificate 2026: Validity

 The CTET Certificate and Marksheet are displayed on the Digilocker platform after the declaration of results. The CTET certificate validity is for a lifetime. Only CTET-qualified candidates are awarded the eligibility certificates. Candidates qualifying the CTET exam can apply for teacher recruitment in Central schools or other schools accepting CTET scores at any point in time till they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective recruiting agency or school. The CTET certificate is provided to candidates along with their marksheets on DigiLocker platform.

The Board released the CTET answer key (provisional) and OMR response sheet online. Candidates who are not satisfied with the answers can raise objection(s). As per the feedback received from the students, Shift 2 exam was concept based, focused on teaching understandings. In CDP theories were asked instead of definitions. Questions from Piaget, Vygotsky, Gardner and Kohlberg were asked. Gender socialism was also asked. Hindi section was focused on language acquisition and classroom application

CTET Cut Off 2026: Qualifying Marks

CTET Application Form 2026

The CTET one-time facility application form link was activated. Here we have provided the methods to fill out the CTET form on the online portal. Candidates can check below for the process of the CTET online form. 

  • Go to ctet.nic.in.
  • Go to the Apply for CTET 2026 link and take new registration.
  • Fill out the application form.
  • Upload the documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the form.

The authority opened the one-time application correction facility for the candidates who were not able to submit their applications. It was found a total of 25,30,581 candidates applied successfully, 3,53,218 and 4,14,981 candidates had successfully applied on the second last and the last date of application respectively. Further, 1,61,127 were incomplete registrations which were not converted into completed and submitted final applications. So, the authority decided to opened a one-time facility to complete the applications who have already registered. And for these candidates application correction window was not opened so, they have to complete it properly at that time only.

CTET Form Correction 2026

The CBSE closed the CTET 2026 application correction window for the February session. This facility allowed candidates to rectify any errors in the online submitted form. This facility was provided by the CBSE for a specified time period. After that, no requests will be considered to modify the application and incorrect or incomplete applications will be rejected by the authority. The CTET application form correction process is shared below-

  • Click on the Edit/ Make changes link.
  • Enter the application number, password and security pin.
  • Click on the correction link.
  • Read the instructions and make changes.

CTET Admit Card 2026

The authority released the exam city allotment slip. The CTET pre-admit card 2026 was released on January 23. The pre-admit card informs candidates about the allotted CTET exam city. Check below the complete process to download it.

CTET Admit Card 2026

The admit card has been issued on February 5 by the CBSE on the official portal at ctet.nic.in. The hall ticket is important for a candidate to carry at the examination centre otherwise he or she will not be allowed to sit in the exam. Candidate should check it properly before downloading it. If any discrepancies occur in the call letter then it should be reported and addressed immediately. What is CTET?

CTET is an eligibility exam conducted at the national level. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the conducting body of the CTET exam. The CTET exam is conducted every year to determine the eligibility of students who want to become teachers in Central Government Schools, such as KVS and NVS, among others. There are two papers in the CTET- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for students who want to teach Classes 1-5 (Primary Teachers), and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6-8 (Elementary Teachers). Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1-8 need to take both papers. The CBSE has so far conducted 20 editions of the CTET exam. The CBSE CTET exam is conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026

It is very important for a candidate to go through once the CTET eligibility criteria before applying for the CTET 21st edition exam. Also, candidates can apply for either CTET Paper 1, Paper 2 or both Papers. Paper 1 is for teaching classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for classes 6 to 8. Therefore, depending on it, candidates can apply and must fulfil the required eligibility in terms of age limit, qualifications, etc.

Nationality

Candidates must be citizens of India to appear for the exam.

CTET Paper 1 Eligibility

Class 12 with a minimum of 50/ 45 per cent marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education OR

Bachelor’s degree with a BEd degree.

Paper 2 Eligibility for 6 to 8 Class Teachers 

Graduation with 50 or 40 per cent marks with Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years) OR BEd OR Bachelor of Elementary Education OR

Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks, and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

Q:   Is there any provision for revaluation or rechecking of CTET result?
A: 
As per the rule of CBSE there is no provision for rechecking or revaluation of CTET result. After the declaration of the CTET result, the CBSE releases the marksheets of all the candidates who appeared for the exam. The result is released after proper scrutiny and after going through the objections received from candidates against the provisional answer keys.
Q:   What details are mentioned in CTET admit card?
A: 

The CTET admit card contains the details shared below-

  • Candidate's name, reservation category, date of birth, guardian's name, postal address

  • Roll number

  • Photo and signature

  • Paper selected by a candidate
  • Exam details including date, and time

Q:   What should I do after the declaration of CTET result?
A: 
After the declaration of the CTET result, candidates are awarded eligibility certificates. Further, candidates are informed that the qualifying CTET exam does not confer them the right to employment/recruitment. This is because CTET is simply a qualifying exam and is only one of the eligibility criteria to be hired at the post of a teacher.
Q:   How can I start preparation for the CTET exam?
A: 
You can start CTET preparation by thoroughly going through the CTET exam pattern and CTET syllabus. The CTET exam pattern makes candidates familiar with the structure of question paper. On the other hand, CTET syllabus makes candidates aware of the topics from which questions are asked in the exam. After going through the exam pattern and syllabus, candidates should ensure studying each topic prescribed by the CBSE in the CTET syllabus.
Q:   Is the CTET Exam 2026 Rescheduled?
A: 

Yes, the CTET exam has been resceduled. Due to high number of applications, the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the exam on February 7 and 8 instead of only 8 February.

Q:   Is CTET valid for lifetime?
A: 

The CTET exam is valid for life time. Earlier, the CTET eligibility Certificate was valid for a period of seven years starting from the date of declaration of result. However, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and CBSE officially extended the CTET passing Certificate validity to lifetime. Candidates need to fulfil the age limit criteria fixed by the respective teacher recruiting body such as NVS, KVS or others. Therefore, candidates can apply for the teaching jobs after qualifying the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET however, they must fall within the age limit defined by the respective agency.

Q:   Is NCERT enough for the CTET exam preparation?
A: 
Though NCERT books are good for understanding the basic concepts of the CTET syllabus, there are other best books available for CTET exam preparation as well. Apart from studying NCERT books, candidates should refer other CTET best books and previous years' papers books to boost their exam preparations.
Q:   What happens after clearing CTET?
A: 
After clearing the CTET exam, candidates can apply for the teacher recruitment process in schools accepting the CTET scores. Before applying for the teacher recruitment, candidates need to download their marksheet and eligibility Certificate from the DigiLocker app. Candidates can not apply for teacher appointment without their CTET certificates.
Q:   Is 120 a good score in CTET?
A: 

Candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks are considered CTET pass. Those who get over and above the set marks are considered good scorers. Hence, scoring 120 marks in the CTET exam is good.

Q:   What are the highest marks in the CTET exam?
A: 

There are no fixed the highest marks in the CTET exam. The exam is of total 150 marks. Those who obtain over 120 marks are good scorers.

Q:   What are the things to carry to CTET exam centre?
A: 

Candidates need to carry these documents to the CTET exam centre-

  • CTET admit card.
  • Original photo ID proof such as PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card.
  • Passport size photograph.

The CTET admit card is important to appear for the exam as well as to check the results. Candidates need to carry their admit cards to the exam centre. Candidates without the hall ticket are not allowed to take the exam. The admission card contains roll number, which is needed to check result.

Q:   When will the registrations for CTET 2026 begin?
A: 

The CTET 2026 exam registration has been started. The CBSE released the CTET application form link with the notification. Candidates need to apply online at ctet.nic.in within the given time.

Q:   What is the CTET confirmation page?
A: 
The CTET confirmation page is a page that gets auto-generated after successful payment of the application fee. The confirmation page acts as proof that a candidate has successfully filled and submitted the CTET application form. Candidates are required to take printout of CTET Confirmation Page. However, the Confirmation Page is not required to be sent to the CTET Unit or CBSE. Candidates need to keep the Confirmation Page along with them for record and future reference till the end of the entire exam process.
