UPSC Launches New Application Portal

UPSC Launches New Application Portal

UPSC New Portal: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) launched a new online application portal aimed at streamlining the registration and application process for aspirants. The updated system features a four-part structure, enabling candidates to complete essential steps in advance of specific exam notifications.

The new portal, accessible at upsconline.nic.in, is now live, with applications currently open for the CDS and NDA II, 2025. UPSC has also confirmed that the earlier One Time Registration (OTR) system has been discontinued, requiring all applicants to register anew on the updated platform.

UPSC New Application Portal

The portal’s homepage is divided into four distinct sections: Account Creation, Universal Registration, Common Application Form, and Examination. The first three sections, containing information common to all UPSC exams, can be completed at any time. The examination section will feature specific notifications, exam applications, and application status, to be filled in during the active application window.

UPSC Universal Registration

This section gathers general information that applies to all UPSC exams and can be completed in advance. To further streamline the process, UPSC recommends using an Aadhaar card during the Universal Registration step, as it simplifies verification and serves as a consistent, long-term ID for all future applications.

"Applicants are strongly advised to use their Aadhaar Card as ID document in the Universal Application for easy, effortless and seamless verification and authentication of ID and other details, after which it serves as a permanent and common record for all examinations," as per the official website.
