SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis & Student Reaction: State Bank of India (SBI) is conducting SBI PO prelims exam till December 20 to fill up a total of 1673 vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers (POs). According to the feedback provided by the students, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult. The English and Reasoning sections were moderate while the Quant section was difficult. The Reading Comprehension passage was based on the food crisis and Russia & Ukraine war. Questions in Maths section were asked from Quadratic Equation, Approximation, Caselet, Arithmetic, Compound Interest, Percentage, Time and Work, Profit and Loss. An attempt of 62-68 questions is considered a good attempt. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam of SBI PO will be called for the mains exam. SBI PO prelims result 2022 is expected to be announced in December 2022/January 2023. On the basis of SBI PO result of the prelims exam, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the mains exam of SBI PO.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2022

SBI PO prelims exam pattern is such that it is divided into three sections-English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The duration of the test is one hour with sectional timings. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The structure of the prelims exam is given below.

SBI PO Marking Scheme

The marks obtained by candidates in the prelims exam will not be counted for the final merit list. For the correct answers, candidates will score one mark while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

Shiksha reported live from one of the SBI PO exam centres in Noida to gather the feedback of students regarding the overall and section-wise difficulty level of exam. Candidates can read below to check SBI PO prelims exam analysis 2022.

Aman Raj said, "The paper of SBI PO was moderate. The Reasoning questions were tough while the questions asked in English were basic. The difficulty level of the Maths paper was moderate."

Ashwin Chaturvedi said, "The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The English section was easy and Quant section was calculative. Most questions in Reasoning were asked from Puzzles."

Abhinav Kumar said, "The difficulty level of SBI PO prelims exam was moderate to difficult. The English section was moderate, Maths was moderate to difficult and Reasoning moderate. The cut off of the prelims exam is expected to be around 55 to 60."

Akash said, "I found the Reasoning section to be tough. The English and Maths sections were moderate. The cut off is expected to be around 80 to 85."

Yes. There is negative marking in the SBI PO exam in both Prelims and Mains for the objective-type questions. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks or 1/4th marks are deducted but for un attempted or skipped questions none of the marks are deducted.

The application fee for the SBI PO exam varies or differs as per the categories. For General and OBC category it is INR 750 and for SC/ST/PwBD there is no fee it is exempted.

The selection process of SBI PO exam consists of three rounds. The selection process is" Prelims, Mains and Interview. Several changes were also done in the exam pattern for the SBI PO exam.
