Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted CDS 1 2021 exam on February 7 across 41 cities. The English paper was held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM while General Knowledge exam was conducted from 12:00 PM to 2 PM. According to the feedback provided by the candidates, English and General Knowledge papers were moderate. Candidates can check the CDS (I) 2021 exam analysis and review by students. The analysis help candidates to know the section-wise distribution of questions, weightage of topics, overall and section-wise difficulty level, number of good attempts, reviews given by students and expected cut off.

CDS (1) 2021 Exam Analysis & Review by Students for English & General Knowledge

Shiksha visited one of the CDS exam centres in Central Delhi to gather their feedback regarding the difficulty level of English and General Knowledge sections. Check below the reviews shared by the students.

Chetan said, "The paper of CDS was easy and it was not difficult. In GK questions were mostly from current affairs. There were very less questions from history. The current affairs questions were asked from recent events. Questions in English were asked from Antonyms, Synonyms, Fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension, Sentence Arrangement, etc. I prepared for CDS exam from online sources especially YouTube."

Sourav said, "The paper was average and it was not that tough. In GK, questions were asked from Geography, History, Current Affairs. In English, questions were asked from parts of speech, idioms and phrases, reading comprehension. This was my second attempt in CDS exam. I did self-preparation for the exam by following relevant books and online sources."

Mandeep said, "According to me, CDS paper was moderate to difficult. There were maximum questions from Science. Questions were also asked from current affairs, polity, modern history. English covered topics such as idioms and phrases, fill in the blanks, reading comprehension, etc."

Samay said, "CDS paper compared to last year was moderate. In GK section was moderate to easy. If someone has studied, then they could easily attempt the exam. The English section was easy. In GK, questions were asked from Geography, general chemistry, science, etc. In English, questions were asked from jumbled sentences, cloze test, reading comprehension.This was my second attempt in CDS exam. I started preparing for CDS exam one month before by following online resources and study material. I am preparing for AFCAT also."

After qualifying the SSB round, the selected candidates need to undergo a medical examination. A candidate is declared medically fit or unfit after the result announcement. After qualifying all the selection rounds they will go for training.
