CDS_Exam_Analysis

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted CDS (1) 2021 exam for Mathematics. The paper was conducted from 3 pm to 5 pm. The exam was conducted for candidates who had opted for Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Air Force Academy (AFA). According to the feedback provided by the students, the Mathematics paper was tough compared to last year. Mostly questions in the Mathematics paper were asked from Geometry and trigonometry. The standard of questions in this subjected was of Class 10 level.

The Mathematics paper of CDS 1 comprised a total of 100 questions. The duration of the exam was two hours. For incorrect answers, 1/3 marks allotted to the question were deducted as a penalty.

Shiksha visited one of the exam centres in Central Delhi where more than 200 candidates appeared for the exam, to gather their feedback regarding the difficulty level of the paper. Read below for CDS (1) 2021 exam analysis 2021 for Mathematics by students.

CDS (1) 2021 Exam Analysis & Review for Mathematics by Students

Questions in Mathematics section were asked from Number System, Mensuration, Geometry, Time, Speed and Distance, Simple Interest/Compound interest, Trigonometry, Algebra, Percentage, Mixture, Time and Work, Ratio & Proportion, Profit/Loss, Statistics, etc. Check below for CDS 1 exam analysis 2021 for Mathematics by students.

Harshvardhan Singh Bhadoria: "The Mathematics paper was tough compared to last year. Questions were asked from all the topics given in CDS (1) 2021 syllabus. Mostly, questions were asked from geometry and trigonometry."

Amit Chaudhury: "The overall difficulty level of the paper was good. Questions asked in the Mathematics section were of Class 10 standard. Questions were asked from surface area, trigonometry, quadratic equation, polynomials, number system, etc."

Yash: "The Mathematics paper was tough and lengthy as compared to last year. I could not complete the paper on time as it was lengthy. Questions were asked from all the topics given in the syllabus."

Pankaj Gehlawat: "The Mathematics paper according to me was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Questions were asked from algebra, LCM & HCM, trigonometry. Mostly, questions were asked from trigonometry. From trigonometry, around 10 to 15 questions were asked."

Harsh Sharma: "Questions were mostly asked from Geometry-Mensuration. There were Elementary Mathematics questions of Class 10 level. Questions were also asked from number system. The English paper was good but GK was a bit tough. I prepared for CDS exam by referring to the subject-related books and online materials."

After qualifying the SSB round, the selected candidates need to undergo a medical examination. A candidate is declared medically fit or unfit after the result announcement. After qualifying all the selection rounds they will go for training.
