CUET PG 2023 Chemistry Test Analysis

Here is the analysis given for both Sections A and B of the CUET PG 2023 Chemistry Test which was conducted on June 6, 2023.

Section A

The section 1 of the examination was general paper was found to be easy to moderate to solve. The main topics from which questions in Section A asked were:

Q:   Why CUET PG previous year's question papers are important?
Q:   What are the type of questions asked in CUET PG exam?
Q:   How many questions are asked in Section B of the CUET PG exam?
Subjects Topics
English/ Hindi Comprehension Unseen passage, Direct/ Indirect Speech, Parts of speech, Omission, Antonyms, Synonyms
Reasoning & Aptitude Basic Maths Numericals (profit and loss, percentage, time and distance, Algebra), Blood relation, Alphabet and picture, odd one out, Verbal reasoning
General Knowledge & Current Affairs History, Geography, Polity, Sports, Science

The students who has mathematics in their graduation has found section A more easier than the students who has Biology subjects in their UG courses. The following table shows the distribution of marks or the weightage of the questions which came from different domains Section A

Topics Number of Questions
English/ Hindi Comprehension 8
Reasoning and Aptitude 8-9
GK and Current Affiars 7-8

Section B

Coming to Section B analysis of the chemistry paper, as per the student's review the CUET PG 2023 Chemistry exam was found to be moderately difficult. Candidates can expect a lower cut-off as compared to last year's cut-off. Questions were asked from physical chemistry, organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Many of the questions that were asked in the examination had the analytical approach to answer the questions. Very few questions were direct from the organic and inorganic chemistry like finding out the angular momentum, naming reactions or acidic, and the basic nature of the chemical compounds. Here is the list of important topics from organic, inorganic or physical chemistry, from which the questions were asked.
